| Well these collections are kind of necessary. The Kingdom Hearts storyline is a rather complex one and if you have only followed the main games there are some things that you are going to be lost on. This collection is especially good because it includes Dream Drop Distance which basically shows how Organization 13 connects to Xehanort and its true purpose. | As far as HD Remakes go, these ones at least don't feel completely unnecessary. They bring the story and different versions of the games to those who otherwise couldn't play them. And it's not like they are strictly, ooh look at the slightly improved graphics releases like so many others. My major issue with them has been that developers felt like they could get away with simply releasing the cinematics for some of the games and still call it a day. Then, of course, they were proven right in the assumption that it was something they could do. But it's not like I'm going to not get 2.8 in an attempt to say, "Cut that nonsense out."
