Unsure of level title, hence the question mark and still work in progress. A short description of my current progress.... Have created a rolling horizon (neverending). Alien attack craft currently WIP although most designed, just adjusting movements. Asteroids built and will be completely randomly generated so each playthrough will be different. Also working on their destruction effects. Not quite there yet! Boss alien craft yet to be fully 'fleshed out', but they will be formidable! Really solid level. I hope this one is as good. I have much more movement with the kart on mine I think. You have the ability to obviously move left/right as per their level, but with mine also up/down and 'evasive' maneuvers similar to the barrel roll but not. You'll have to play it to understand fully but all of these movements can be linked together to produce some impressive twists and turns. I've also included the abilty to change speeds for those players after really high scores or just to see how many times they can crash. There is also a shield surrounding the spacecraft which will protect you from a limited amount of hits. After much tinkering (following advice from some very clever Karting Sackfolk) I've had to reconfigure the weapon pickup/giver. Looks like a constraint to the the amount of emitters you can layer, ie make a custom weapon and use that weapon again within another weapon. Hope that makes sense Sackfolk. I now have 3 weapon emitters attached directly to the kart which all work correctly dependent on how many 'weapon upgrade pickups' you have collected during the level. | 2015-09-17 20:05:00 Author: Scorpio1357 Posts: 460 |
Coming up against loads of glitches with this level. No idea what's causing it. There's nothing really complex going on. Even the kart has developed issues and it's mostly decorations, not material. It's just beginning to wear a little thin though, so rather than get annoyed with it, I'll just put it to one side for now. Yes.There is be a Tutensackmun sequel. That's always been the plan. That sounds epic. However, a word to the wise, don't overshoot your ambition, I'm learning to build a simpler level and adding cool features after the basic level is in.
