Howdy sackfolk!

Archive: 16 posts

Hi, I'm Rogar. I decided to come out of lurking to join the discussion on changes in cool/new levels. And also because I just had to say something about the amazingly good level I just finished, Shadow Moses: Site B. Play it if you haven't done so yet. Seriously.

I mostly visit this place to pick up new levels to play, and to learn the tricks of the creator trade. I haven't had the time to build anything yet, but I've got a few ideas on a pirate level. I know there's a lot of them out there already, but I haven't found one yet that really has the experience befitting my pirate costume. :arg:

You're preaching to the converted!

Don't concern yourself with whether or not other people have used a theme that you want to try - everyone brings something new to the table. And there were plenty of Shadow Moses levels before TheGide made his.

Welcome to the fold - and I'll be happy to try your level, so hurry up and get it done lol.

Yup, Shadow Moses Site B game you played was by "TheGide" with some boss help by "NinjaMicWZ" (also one of the authors on the new Contra series). Both fantastic creators, great guys, and active members on this board.

Also, our member Wyth has a GREAT pirate-themed level "Jack McSetBack and the Buccaneers Booty". Great stuff!

Welcome!

Wow, what a warm welcome!

I'm afraid y'all have to wait a while before you get to try any of my levels. I'm moving house soon, and the bathroom is only half refurbished.

@CCubage: I know, I saw the Site B thread here, and I'm always extra careful to check the creator so I don't accidentally play a cheap copy.

I've played Wyth's Buccaneer level (but died on the second pirate ship  I hearted it to retry later). I like it, but it's about fighting pirates - I'm looking to play one. Set sail, fire cannons, pillage, you know.
