100+ layers no longer works?
Archive: 6 posts
i tried the 100+ layers tool, thinking it may still work because i need some water/transparent goo to stretch out into the background. however, when using R2 select, copying, and going to goodies to select a material, it gives me a single layer thick block instead. it seems sumo finally fixed it. :meh: i also deleted my 100+ layer block of cardboard, thinking it wasn't useful. can anybody suggest an alternative? | 2015-08-16 02:37:00 Author: LuigiM9 Posts: 22 |
Have a 3D tool that is saved from before along with another object, such as a thin piece of hologram. It will be constricted. You may have to go back to LBP2 to do this though | 2015-08-16 03:11:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
i should have mentioned that the 3D tool was imported with the rest of my stuff. though i suppose you're right in saying i can just go back to LBP2 to get another block of cardboard. also, another thing: does your inventory scramble every time you import an old profile? i'm scared of importing stuff because that happened when I got the game. had to spend an hour or two deleting old objects and recategorizing old ones. | 2015-08-16 03:15:00 Author: LuigiM9 Posts: 22 |
Might try publishing a locked level with your object in LBP2 and copy it down to your moon in LBP3 and capture it. That's how I had to snag my costume again when already purchased DLC was wonky. Another thought is a tool published by DrunkenFist_Lee... might just visit that level and see if that works. https://lbp.me/v/yh5-pt/topreviews?p=1&l=12 | 2015-08-16 03:25:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |

The only difference I have found is that you can't do the original backscratch trick, I'm sure you can place objects that are more than 16 layers (I made a sea that is certainly which stretches a lot further than that). I don't know the original creature because I recaptured the tool but I imagine it's someone who has been mentioned above, the easiest way to break the 16 layers is to make the object, capture it, then use that layer changing tool (on the hologram), go back a few times and set it to emit the object you want. http://i7.lbp.me/img/ft/0e7b68161001d39a26c1f333be721efcfc596495.jpg http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/fffaba60c19a6c4e7f396fc89704c06057f98435.jpg http://ic.lbp.me/img/ft/dec57c8519888c59d9bc499da05a07c3595dd0d8.jpg http://i5.lbp.me/img/ft/04504da09556358fda4c7331a63b11d3b3652fe2.jpg | 2015-08-16 10:45:00 Author: wally-217 Posts: 521 |
