| https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8625/15745030237_2bace2666c_z.jpg So I found <a href="http://rocketleague.psyonix.com/">Rocket League</a> last week, and it's definitely the most fun I've had gaming in quite some time. Basically, the premise of the game is soccer (or football for you non americans) in either a 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 format; the key is everyone is driving cars. All of the cars can be customized with different bodies, paint, decals, antennas, "rocket" trails, and HATS! It's very physics based - that being said, you are able to drive on walls, the roof, and have access to boost to make your car go much faster, which can be manipulated to make your car fly, spin, jump, etc, allowing for some really funny plays.  It's currently $20 on Steam and is available on the PS4. It may look bland but I highly suggest watching some videos to kinda see the objective of the game. | I got it for free on PS+ and I totally agree with you, it's a blast! Really enjoy this game. It's also a fairly easy platinum which makes it that much better! I love watching my twins play this one. They can hardly play for giggling so much. | Great game, love it. Unfortunately it's reached the stage where I'm playing against Veteran players, who are just far too good at this game. I'm not a bad player, but my aerial ability is awful. FYI, Fyshokid, who was a popular LBP level creator back in the day, is a "well known" player of this game, ie he's one of the popular streamers. Yeah, I wouldn't think much of it if you're planning on playing alone. The game is infinitely more fun playing as a group and the laughs are so worth the price.  If you plan on playing on PC, I would highly recommend using some form of controller (preferably PS4 as that's a controller native to the game) because it makes the gameplay smoother and tricks much easier to pull off. | 2015-08-11 03:55:00 Author: DominationMags Posts: 1840 |
| This game is starting get get ruined a bit, by ****holes. I'm not talking about the opposition in this case, I'm talking about my own teammates! The other day I played with someone. It was supposed to be 2v2, but the opposition player didn't get paired up for some reason. I felt bad for the guy, so was kind of playing at 50% effort. My teammate however, was playing at 110%! So we go 8-0 up, he scores about 6. 1 min to go, I start barging into my teammate for s***s and giggles...... and he REPORTS me.  I asked him why and he said "Constantly ramming me on purpose and therefore disturbing my experience". I just thought.... Christ! Lighten up! I had another ****hole teammate a few moments ago. One of those who gives you the whole "Great Save!" when you make a mistake. He did it for the first goal.... which was actually his fault. He did it again for the 2nd goal, which was nobodies fault, but I was guarding the goal. After a while and a few more comments from him, I just stopped trying. He then posts a message (idle threat of course) about me being banned from competitive matches. To summarise - I really like playing this game, but too often for me liking, I come up against players who remind me of the very reason I don't play much competitive multiplayer these days! | 2015-08-14 20:19:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
