adding lbp psp community levels: is it possible?

Archive: 8 posts

This was something I have been wondering about lately. Since lbp psp is getting pretty old, I fear that sooner or later the game will loose it's connection to the servers. There are some real gems on the lbp psp game, and I fear those would be lost when the servers would go offline.
We've seen it happen before: we can access the lbp1 levels through lbp2. However, lbp psp is significantly different from lbpv. So I fear that this wouldn't be possible in the lbpv version.

Still, I have a little bit of hope. Does anyone know if it would be technically possible to add the psp community levels to the lbpv servers?

I thought Sony closed PSN for PSP in September 2014, are the LBP PSP servers still online?

Yup, I heard about that too. However, I believe the lbp psp servers weren't related to the psn, and I am quite sure those servers are as of yet still online. However, I would have to check that to be completely sure.2015-03-06 14:13:00

I'm pretty sure ALL LBP servers are tied together. Meaning that as long as the main LBP servers are up, then all games should still be able to connect. PSP, Karting, Vita etc. My question is this. Can I download LBPPSP on my Vita? I see it in the store but is it compatible and playable on the Vita?2015-03-06 15:30:00

Sounds like good news!
Also, I have bought the game for my PS vita, and it is indeed compatible with the PS vita. I believe the save data doesn't glitch out like on the PSP. However, the game still tends to crash when you give it too many commands in creative mode.
Anyway, be aware as the creators edition content is not compatibel with the PS vita.

I don't see how this could possibly work since both games are based on different engines and made by different companies, which don't support them anymore.

Only the store, not the entire network. The servers are still online.

It wouldn't be on the store if it wouldn't be compatible. 8)
