I've spent the last three months and hundreds and hundrerds of hours creating my level, and it's finally ready to be played. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls.......I give you.............. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/reduxad-no2-1.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/reduxad-no2-2.jpg The Concept: You are search of the lost Aztec Tomb of Chinny-Chin-Chin. His tomb is guarded by many tasks and challenges that you as the player have to navigate through. Challenges include, 'the Wheel Maze V1.0 & V2.0 ', 'The Spiral', 'Twin Wheels', '5 Wheels', 'The Tower', 'The MotorWheel' and 'The Ghost of Chinny-Chin-Chin' to mention a few. Over 350 hours have been spent rebuilding the level from the original Beta version, giving it a totally new remixed layout with fully upgraded mechanics and visuals throughout! The level has been split into three seperate parts (unlockable from Part One) with lots of additional new content added to the previous modular section's. Great as a one player adventure or in a group. I've had around 1900 plays since the level was published on 28/02/09, and most feedback is really good. Personally I think it plays better with either one or two players, but it's not bad with 4 either, but can become a bit manic. With a difficulty of about 7 /10 in area's. There's also an on-line map level which allows you to view all three maps using a jet-pack. Here's a few more pics from the levels............. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_89.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_93.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_1.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_107.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_104.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_109.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_110.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_135.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_173.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l186/scoobyroo2/APhoto_175.jpg | 2009-03-04 17:49:00 Author: scooby4953 Posts: 43 |
I just played it, very very nice. A lot of great gameplay in this level. You obviously put a lot of work into it!! I also played your first version of this level and its amazing how much you improved since then!! | 2009-03-04 18:56:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
I just played your levels. They're really good. Pros: -Looks reall good. The transition between areas was especially cool. -Challenging and enjoyable puzzles. -Great level design. Lots of backtracking and such. Cons: -Sometimes it's hard to know what to do. -Dark matter is ugly. Suggestions: -You should add some kind of object that your obstacles are being emitted from. Things popping out of thin air doesn't look very good. -On part one, the first speech bubble when the music changes to MGS music is censored. -Stage 2 is already unlocked! I suggest you lock it ASAP. It was a really fun level. 5 stars and a heart. Could you leave some feedback on my "Problematic Packaging" level? | 2009-03-04 21:48:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Cheers for having a go on them, and I know what you mean . I'm looking into implementing some of the alteration's regarding emitted items that you've suggested, mainly in part two, as that's the level with the largest amount of space available on the thermometer, and also has the highest quantity of emitted items within the view during play. The level's now been up 10 days and has had over 5000 plays even made it onto to Page One for about 5 hours, just before my '7 day window' of exposure came to an end, and my level was thrown off the cool boards since the new system from Mm. I'd love to hear what anyone else might have to say about it? and I'd be happy to give feedback on their levels. Scoob UPDATE 12/03/09: Killian, I've now implemented the the suggested changes regarding emitted items with 'Part Two', let me know what you think. | 2009-03-10 19:10:00 Author: scooby4953 Posts: 43 |
