Thanks to Rocksauron for letting me take over. Writing Contest The writing contest is a contest that shall be held every 2 weeks (I'm going to be talking to RockSauron about the time, as he is giving out the points.) Every 2 weeks, we will hold a new contest, in which the members of this forum may write short stories or poems and submit them for the people of this forum to read and review. At the start of the new two weeks, a new "theme" or "genre" for writing shall be announced. The people of this forum may then write a piece of literature that falls into the category. After doing so, they shall upload their stories to this thread- where everyone will read these creations. Then the judges shall discuss the who wins and the person with the most votes shall win LittleBigExperience, along with the second place and third place winners. Rules NO Character limit. Feel free to make it as long or short as you like- though please, use common sense. Remember to keep your story within the genre given to you- if you don't want to write a story in that genre, then don't take part that time. As this is a forum contest, ALL Site Rules still apply. Only ONE Entry per round. This Month's theme is... ROUND ONE! WRITE! Haiku What is Haiku? A Haiku is a three lined poem, each with a certain number of syllables. The first line is 5 syllables, and second line is 7 syllables, and the third line is 5 syllables. This round has ended, please cast your votes to me, CogSpartan. You'd have to get a mod to delete it... mods can change the info on polls and delete them even if normal users can't. No one voted for meee? eh, I made it in 5 seconds, no big deal, already have like among the top five exp here anyway >_<.

Even if they do delete it, and I make a new one, no one will vote, as you can see already. Also, the people who have voted probably forgot this thread even existed. I need a good way to find voters, and if I can't Ima going to get me some judges. Rock, you can be one if you like, I will need one other as well. If anyone wants to be a judge just post here and ask, but I must trust you, and at least know you slightly. After seeing several other contests, and seeing as we are probably going to have a lot more rounds, I will change the XP from 1000, 500, 200, to; 500, 250, and 100. It'll be better for RockSauron, and worse for the winners! But don't worry. If you win this round you will get the normal Xp, look at yourself as the very first special winners!

For the fairness of the forums I really recommend you lower it significantly = The prospect of winning the main contests (1st place 150,250) will die down. This is completely unfair imo, and I think it's not been thought through, just seems like a giddy shot at handing out points just coz you can = Don't abuse power

Also, I am not giving out the points, and I always discuss it with Rock. Rock chose to be generous, and theres nothing really bad about it. This contest lasts a while, and real talent is needed to win, especially for the later rounds. Generosity and Abusiveness are two completely different things. I reckon for that amount of points you'd have to put a minimum length aspect aswel, like this weeks one is just ridiculously easy to get some fast xp. Like minimum 15 lines for a poem? 2 pages for a short story? Well that's just all my opinion, but frankly, I think you've got a great idea here, but you're just going in a bit giddy with the prizes..

OK, voting is in and the results are as follows: 1st place: Elbee23 - Very deep, thoughtful and flowing. By far my favorite. Huge advantage of not sticking with a little big planet theme, which was not a requirement. I actually think this is a great haiku on any level, for any application. 2nd Place Laharlsama07 - First two lines really flowed, great rythem and almost a ryhme to it. Great, almost profound statement to conclude the poem. As deep as you can get writing a LBP haiku. 3rd Place mrjoeyman A funny and quirky one takes third. This was a very hard decision and nearly split the vote with TJapan Everyone did a really good job with this, and didn't make judging very easy! Anyway the next round's subject will be Horror Short Stories. And the exp for this round will be discussed with RockSauron and disshed out ASAP... as well as the ammount of exp from now on, since it was A LOT this week.
