So... When Will I Get My Stuff Back Again?

I know I have to be patient and all.. but it's not like it's been 4 months . And then they have no ETA on when it'll be back you know..

Already Bought But Lost: all of my Pirates Of The Caribbean costumes - Rebuy

MGS4 Pack and 3 costumes - Says I have to rebuy..

Marvel Pack and Wolverine(probably more too) - Said I had to re-buy.

Monster Pack - Oh the Monster Pack... It was listed as bought and ready to download in December. By January, it said I needed to buy it full price. Lol at Sumo.

Entire Mass Effect Pack - Even though it says all of the costumes are free, who cares because they are unavailable anyway.

Entire Weekend Pursuits Pack - Same issue.

Music Pack - Just never transferred over. (Will NOT play LBP3 until I get this back!!)

Cross Controller Pack - Just never transferred over.

And many many more.


So I ask again.. when will this get fixed?

Who knows, I can certainly tell you no one on this forum knows...

LBP has had a notoriously long history of leaving its fanbase in the dark. From the main three entries, to LBP Karting (non-existent post support), LBP HUB (no explanation even needed) and Run Sackboy Run (where is that Vita version again...?).

It's just a sucky thing that we have to put up with, unfortunately. The day before Patch 1.05 came out, and fans were raging 'WHERE IS PATCH 1.05!?', all Steven could say is 'it's coming soon!'. So I'm assuming a lot of the blame falls on SONY, not completely on the game studios.

Anyways the only thing we can do it tough it out, until some solid information finally trickles through. There are plenty of angry customers/gamers/fans dealing with the same issues with this franchise if that helps at all.

Remember, Sony owns LittleBigPlanet™, not Sumo Digital or Media Molecule (otherwise it would not be PlayStation only).

It's Sony's fault for not listening to Sumo Digital. Instead they pushed the game for Black Friday even though it was almost completed and look what we have. But hey, they did it for the money not us. 2015-02-18 21:04:00

I had issues with missing DLC too, like Metal Gear, Monster Kit, Wolverine, etc that the PS Store indicates I have to buy again. However, every other Tuesday it seems there is a PS Store update that allows some content to be downloaded for free. Just this Tuesday Metal Gear "unlocked", got Wolverine a few weeks ago. Still waiting for Monster Kit to become available.

I contacted PSN tech support and they said that it is an issue with the PS store. LBP's FB page also confirms this:

Hello Everyone

We are aware that some of you are still missing your previously purchased DLC. This makes us very sad and we just want to take a moment to assure you that we haven't forgotten about you! Please do not worry though, we are working around the clock to turn those frowns upside down! If you already own this content, you will soon once again be able to re-download it again at no extra cost to yourself.

To give you some background as to what is causing these issues. It's all about entitlements on the PlayStation Store and not a problem with the game itself. Entitle-what? I hear you say! It basically means that the Store is a bit muddled right now as to what you actually own, but it's all fixable - we promise.

What this means though is that our Game Updates that would otherwise contain bug fixes cannot fix these issues. We have to work with our PlayStation Store friends to go through the content piece by piece, for every regional store across the globe. (That's a lot of stores and a lot of content!).

If you are one of the unlucky ones and still haven’t got some of your items back just yet... Please don't give up hope! You can expect to see those remaining items coming back to you during upcoming PlayStation Store updates. Some of you will have already noticed content is becoming available again and that will continue to happen until all we can see are lots of smiles. (And no more frowns...)
