Backing Up & Loading Saves?

Recently, my profile got corrupted, which pretty much taught me to back up whenever I feel it's necessary. I want to back up now that I've completed the prologue, but there is no Back Up button in the settings menu. I am on a Ps4.2014-12-17 18:19:00

Have you Got PS+? Whether you have or you haven't, go to the PS4 settings menu, scroll down to application saved data management, then saved data in system management. There you will find two options: Upload to online storage and copy to USB device.

Thanks. But I also need to know how to load my save once I have it backed up.

Use the download option instead of the upload option.

But verify your backup. I was habitually copying my saves to usb and I decided to copy it to my pc. It copied way too quickly and that was when I realized my backups had been failing. I had to reformat my USB before it would work for some reason. Good thing I noticed and fixed it: the very next day I got a profile corruption.2014-12-17 20:50:00

In Settings -> Application Saved Data Management there is an option called "Saved Data in Online Storage", Once you click that just choose "Download To System Storage" and you will see the LBP3 save that you backed up to PS+

Or use "Saved Data on USB Storage Device" if you have backed up to a USB flash drive to re-download it back onto the system.

You can also backup individual levels from within LBP3 but I suggest verifying these too. My habit was a full profile backup to USB once a week and individual level backups whenever I made significant progress on anything. As I mentioned, I luckily found out that my profile wasn't backing up and got it fixed before getting corrupted but I hadn't been testing my level backups: only one managed to import. I didn't lose much: half a day of work at most, but it was an eye-opener. If you depend on usb backups, make sure it makes it all the way through the copy process (I'd been walking away and letting the PS4 go to sleep on its own). For level backups, import them into another slot on your moon to make sure they'll actual work.2014-12-18 05:13:00
