I was wondering if anyone had any problems transferring data from LBP2 PS3 to LPB3 PS4? My main issue is my PS3 died on me a couple of months ago. The user name that I had for that PS3 is different then the one I have today on my PS4, since I got my PS3 in 2006. So the saved information on my LBP2 will not transfer over to LBP3 due to me having different accounts for both systems. So I wanted to try something to see if I can transfer my LBP2 PS3 to LBP3 PS4. The problem is I will have to spend some money to fix it since I am not good at fixing things. But I wanted to get your guys' and gals' opinions first before I spend any money. What I think might work is getting my PS3 fixed (it suffers from a severe case of the Yellow Light of Death). I got it fixed before for $75 and it will work fine for the next few months. Once I get it fixed, I was thinking of creating the account that I have on my PS4 on my PS3 that way I have the same account on both systems. Then I want to copy the saved data onto my LPB2 from my original account onto the account that is on both the PS3 and PS4. Once everything is done just import the information onto the LPB3 PS4 and I should be set. So before I do that, though, I was wondering what you guys think of that idea. I know it is a very simple idea, but the thing that bothers me is that LBP3 is pretty buggy as it is and I don't want to spend money if I don't have to. So is this a good idea, and if anyone has a better solution that is cheaper I will certainly like to hear what you have to say.

It depends on what you want to transfer. Your LBP DLC is linked to your PS3 PSN account. The only way you're going to get that is to create that account on your PS4, make it a primary user and download the DLC from the store (eventually - there are some issues with DLC, they're working to fix them). You'll need to recollect all prize bubbles. Your PS3 LBP2 profile cannot be imported on a PS4 LBP3, only on PS3. Instead they have made an unlock function which looks at throphies on your PSN account for the previous games and unlocks LBP1 and LBP2 prizes accordingly. Your PS4 PSN account won't have any trophies from the previous game, and I don't think it's possible to copy your unlocks from your PS3 account to your PS4 account. What you can do is gain 1 trophy on LBP1 and play up to the end of LBP2 on any PS3 (you can fix yours, but borrowing/renting one is cheaper) with your new PS4 PSN account, sync the trophies, then use the unlock functions to unlock everything from the LBP1 and LBP2 main games. Your own creations (costumes, objects, levels on your moon) are stuck on your PS3. The only way to get those is to fix the PS3, put all your creations your want to transfer in prize bubbles, publish a LBP2 level with the prizes, and collect the prizes from your PS4 account. I'd probably recreate the stuff manually or fix the YLOD myself in stead of paying $75 for it (I have, as it happens).
