Batteries, sequencer relative?

Just noticed a new setting, tweaking a battery set on a sequencer makes "Sequencer Relative" appear. Anyone knows what that's for?2014-12-15 08:27:00

Sounds like if you place it on a sequencer with that setting, the output can raise and lower depending on where the cursor (Line that moves along sequencer when playing) is on the battery. Sooooo... Essentually, you can make outputs for Sequencers that can effect logic with positional settings very easily. And this is very good! 8U For me anyways.

EDIT: Upon testing this, I can confirm that this is exactly what it does. 8D

As a matter of fact, you can now save how long a player has been in a level (Or a time of day, or any change dependent on the timing). Or well... This makes it easier.

Trouble with making health bars? Not anymore with this addition! Well, maybe there's still a bit you need to know for those.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, you could use this to create a deadzone on a controllinator if the battery is on the last 3/4 of the sequencer?2014-12-15 12:20:00

Yep. That is another bonus to this.

This is the best thing I have ever read. Never thought about placing batteries in a positional sequencer. All those problems with the analog sticks can now go away.

You can change the strength of a battery by placing it on a sequencer and setting it to relative?!2014-12-15 18:15:00

I haven't messed with that setting, but I did find out you can stretch batteries to make the output last longer than normal. I'm sure most of you knew that already but I'm sure someone out there didn't!2014-12-15 22:01:00

I don't think you can change the strength. I messed with it a little and it always output the same 100% signal I gave it.2014-12-15 22:15:00

Then I don't understand the significance of 'positional'. You've always been able to use batteries on sequencers. I assumed it positional meant it would change the strength of the battery depending on where the line was within the battery on the sequencer.

edit: just tested it and it DOES change the value that the battery is outputting depending on where the sequencer line is. Try it for yourself. put the battery on a sequencer, stretch it and then attach the battery to another sequencer set to positional. With it off, the other sequencer does nothing because it's always a value of 100% but with it on the value changes from 0 - 100% so the sequencer moves. This means we can now change the values in batteries on the fly, which is pretty useful.

Interestingly it also allows you to change the second sequencer to only play a certain percentage (dictated by the battery). And if you set the second sequencer to backwards/forwards, you can effect when that takes place because it only kicks in when the battery is at about 80%.
