grabbable thin layer

Is it possible if so how and if so can the piece be very small ? | 2014-12-13 08:43:00 Author: dirts7970 ![]() Posts: 74 |
You can't grab thin layers, but I am curious as to why you even would need to. | 2014-12-13 09:18:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal ![]() Posts: 1799 |
Just to make a switch on an object I made. It doesn't matter I'm just using this thicker material and hiding it | 2014-12-13 09:28:00 Author: dirts7970 ![]() Posts: 74 |
You could also import some so-called "theck" material from LBP2. Using a glitch this material has the same thickness and position in the thick layer as a checkpoint (hence the name). | 2014-12-13 13:11:00 Author: Rogar ![]() Posts: 2284 |
Not tried, but if you put a material tweaker on the thin layer and change the properties to climable, would that work? ![]() | 2014-12-13 13:20:00 Author: LittleBigSnooth ![]() Posts: 454 |

Using the dephysicalizer and the 'Position in Layer' option also helps with placement of climbable surfaces. That way, you don't need to cut a chunk out of your wall. | 2014-12-13 13:40:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal ![]() Posts: 1799 |
The glitched grabbable thin layer material from LBP1/2 works in LBP3. | 2014-12-16 18:30:00 Author: Lady_Luck__777 ![]() Posts: 3458 |
Thanks. Have you got a link to this? | 2014-12-16 18:43:00 Author: dirts7970 ![]() Posts: 74 |
Well, if you've got a copy of LBP1 you can create it yourself using the steps in this old tutorial (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=26490-Theck-amp-Thack-Sublayer-Guide). Alternatively, you can just head over and pick up a piece at this level (http://lbp2.me/v/sm0jx1). | 2014-12-18 10:19:00 Author: Blue Helmet ![]() Posts: 306 |
Can you just make the material grabbable next to it with a grab sensor? If you need a super thin material can you possibly just use a piece of sponge that has no opacity maybe? | 2014-12-18 14:41:00 Author: Mighty Mac ![]() Posts: 45 |
Just take a thin piece of climbable material. Use the ghost tool to merge it with whatever you want to climb on. Use the opacity tweaker to make it the climbable material invisible. Then use the ghost tool again on the climbable material again to physicalize it again. | 2015-02-16 02:51:00 Author: rambo3416 ![]() Posts: 179 |
You can make a piece of sticker panel grabbable I believe. That was you can walk through it. Not the perfect solution but that's what I've got... | 2015-02-17 19:54:00 Author: koltonaugust ![]() Posts: 1382 |
