I'm Not Playing Anyones Level Until Saves Can Be Disabled.

Archive: 17 posts

I've had enough of this. I'm absolutely sick to the back teeth of having 15mb of my PS4 space taken up every time I play certain levels. Every single time I play other people's levels I have to go into system storage and manually delete all the saves before I back LBP3 up on PS+.2014-12-11 19:18:00

I haven't purchased ps+ yet (doesn't seem to be any reason to until the online issues are resolved), but when I back up to usb, I'm able to select individual portions. Is that not the case for backing up to ps+?2014-12-11 22:57:00

Yes, but when you've played dozens of levels and then go to save, you have to then go through the list and select the three that are necessary. I shouldn't have to do that. Space is limited as it is and I've had to turn PS+ automatic upload off so that I don't have to delete files from both my console and online. It's a chore and starting to irritate me. Just give us an option to turn it off entirely or decide on a game to game basis whether we want to save or not.

In options: 'Automatic saves ON/OFF
On entering a level: 'This level saves data. Enable or disable.

This way I can play the level for a little while to see if it's worth returning to rather than find a blank level and then have to continuously delete the useless and space filling saves manually every time I'm finished with the game.

At least Vita's menorizer save system was very easy to use, I agree that the save files are amazingly big

It would've been nice if the memorizer data were stored in a separate category. Like there's your LBP3 save and then there's your LBP3 Community save. Almost as if they were two different games.2014-12-12 15:43:00

Is 15 MB really that much? Doesn't the PS4 have like 400 GB by default?2014-12-12 16:06:00

I don't have the PS4 version but on the PS3 version you can just bring up the start menu within LBP3 and delete any memoizer data in the memozier options above the profile backup options. I guess this option isn't in the PS4 version?

He isn't talking about space on the PS4, he's talking about the space it eats up on PSPlus.

Ah right, I see. I think they should probably just update the game so that community data doesn't get lumped into the backup. Seems unnecessary.

Well, I guess your not going to be able to play my level, because I'm all over the idea of saved data in levels.

It would be a nice option to have a option to stop saving data to your hard drive though, or have it get saved to a external drive?

In this case. Perhaps an option to keep the data should pop up upon leaving the level(s), similar to changing to play mode while creating, and the game asks, "Save before playing?"? This way, if the player leaves and didn't want the game to remember the data, they can just choose "No." Also, with this way, the memorizer isn't effected if a level happens to use level-hopping.

But I can see why backing up your stuff includes the memorizer data. If you wanted to back up your stuff, and wanted to keep playing a level that used the memorizor, then if it lumped it all up, it would be a hassle, buuuut if you didn't allow it, then you'd be forced to not get that back-up of the memorizor data.

Yes, something like that would be a better option. That way if decide we want to return we will have the option to. I just got fed up with manually sifting through a dozen saves I didn't want and from levels I would never return to just so I could upload them to PS+. This game already takes a ridiculous amount of space as it is. So much so that I've had to delete many saves I wanted to keep. I still have them on my PS4 but that defeats the purpose of saving them online in the first place. It's there primarily as insurance just in case something goes wrong with the PS4 or the original file gets corrupted.

PS4 version has this as well, Though I never remember to go in and do this and when it comes time to backup I have to go and delete all the extra save content 0_0

The adventure saves don't have a delete option in the game. You HAVE to delete them manually from your PS4. It's ridiculous.

Oh I thought it was all together for that option in the settings, Yeah this needs to be changed and give us an option to delete that data in game as well as have an option to disable it if you choose to do so!

Hmm the memozier saves seem to have nothing to do with the problem afterall... I had a ton of community saves in my HDD on my PS3 and going into the memozier options doesn't give me a option to delete those... things... I can't even tell what these community level saves are for since it seems to have nothing to do with the memozier data... but yes whatever it is it is annoying.2014-12-16 17:14:00

I thought the Memorizer saves (under settings) was just for Memorizer data. And I think the actual Adventure saves for individual levels is where it stores the Object Saver data and associated Quest data.
