Best LittleBigPlanet story mode?

Archive: 8 posts

Which adventure mode do you think was the best? LBP, LBP2 or LBP3? Those are the only ones I played, but feel fee to talk about the others.

Honestly. I would say they're tied because they each excel at different things:
LBP - nastolgia and atmosphere
LBP 2 - characters and length
LBP 3 - themes and visuals

I feel that LBPVita put up the best story mode. I love how it feels like a play being put on, and while the ending may be cheesy, that's how LBP1 was, too.

I agree with you about why the three main games were good, but I think LBPVita takes the cake for the reasons above.

LBP PSP was one of the most unique story ideas I've seen, but since there is no main villain, I didn't feel as motivated to complete the story mode.

LBPKarting was easily the worst story mode. It felt even more disconnected than LBP3's, and then they went as far as copying themes from previous LBP games.

What I liked the most from LBP3 was the lvevel design, it felt like playing the best community levels rather than the devs Story Mode, it was a really nice touch and they were really fun. Also, I loved Newton as a villian and Hugh's voice acting simply perfect. Yet the Story was wayyyy to short compared to every other LBP game (except Karting, that story was bad lol), and I felt it finished too soon.

For me... Agh, hard to say. That is because best story mode is divided by level design (LBP3), the story itself (LBPV for me), graphic design (LBP1 & LBP2), creator curators (LBP2) and more things. I liked this story mode but I think the best story mode was from LBPVita.

I think, at a stretch, LBP3's story mode was the best, followed closely by Vita, then 2, then 1, then PSP and Karting. Newton should meet up with Clive and they could have an awesome-off.2014-12-06 16:31:00

I loved the LBP1 story the most, but that might be because it is so nostalgic. I can play it even now 2014-12-06 17:16:00

LBPK was the best because of Ray the Wonder Turtle. I loved him so much it was unreal.

1 is my favorite. I appreciate what 2 did to expand the story tools and stuff, but it lost a lot of the charm in the process. Plus, the globetrotting in 1 made for some great themes.2014-12-08 10:09:00

1 is my favourite, but i understand it may totally be nostalgic. 2 was alright but had too many pseudo minigame levels, and 3 was far too short.

The first felt somewhat 'pure' and ancient in a way.
