Logic help: Programming character to stop moving on button press?

OK, so basically, what I'm doing is running a top-down action RPG style level similar to the early Zelda games. When you press L1, the character swings his sword, but because of the way I'm emitting the sword itself, it often either gets left behind or flies off on its own. So my solution is to have the character also stop moving when L1 is pressed. Is there a way to program this? I've tried hitting a gameplay tweaker (with 0% movement) with a timer to no avail, and I could really use some tips. EDIT: Solved, thanks to SEWO97! | 2014-12-06 01:46:00 Author: DJLols Posts: 217 |
Use the anti-gravity tweaker. Use square to tweak it and then under the effects tab, make sure anti-gravity is 100%, damping is 100% and zero-buoyancy is 0%. This will stop your character from moving. Make sure that the logic is triggered temporarily and not turned on permanently because it will completely immobilise the character. | 2014-12-06 20:17:00 Author: SEWO97 Posts: 637 |
