How to ride oddsock ?

Hi i would like to make a plateformer in coop, but i dont know how can i make a ridding oddsock, and i dont know if it's possible... Plz any one can tell me if its possible or how make that ? Thank you !2014-12-05 22:04:00

Off the top of my head here's an idea. Have a broadcast microchip transmit to sackboy only. Ant-grav 100% with a follower set to a tag. Then have another broadcast chip transmit to Oddsock only with a tag for the follower.

Now, on how to deal with one or the other player dying, not sure.

I haven't done Oddsock but I've experimented with riding swoop. In my case, Swoop is a bot and when the player rides him, they take over his controls, but the principle should be the same

Tag on Oddsock (broadcast chip set to Oddsock), and a follower with 100% strength and stability broadcast to sackboy. Place an animation tweaker on Sackboy set to one of the saddle animations (I think there are three saddle animations and I can't remember where exactly they are: somewhere in one of the last animation categories listed). Done. Don't need anti-grav or anything. The animation tweaker will lift you enough that it looks like you're on top of Oddsock instead of standing in the same place (even though, according to collision and such, you're still standing on the ground with Oddsock). The only thing left is to set up some logic to enable and disable the follower and animation tweaker: you could set it so that when the player jumps over Oddsock (tag sensor pointed down and set to 60-90 degrees), it activates and whenever the player hits the jump button, it disables, so that you can jump off whenever you like.

Oh, and riding Swoop while carrying a blaster-handle powerup is a blast!

After reading this I decided to try it. There's an animation for Sackboy that puts him in the saddle position, which looks perfect.

So I put the Follower on Sackboy to follow Oddsock... it looks good when Oddsock is idle and walking very slowly, but as soon as Oddsock starts sprinting, Sackboy is slightly lagged behind him. It's bullpoo. If I set a Follower's speed to max (100), it should should move just as fast as the object is moving. And Oddsock only goes like a speed of 6 or 7!
