Is there a way to remove the border in create mode?

I remember before the game came out the developers said we could essentially create infinite size levels using something called level stitching. I assumed that meant taking away the borders but I found no such option, so what did they mean? | 2014-11-29 23:41:00 Author: rorohokishu ![]() Posts: 16 |
Dynamic Thermo. I'd recommend looking around the forums on this topic, because there are many threads about it. 8D | 2014-11-30 02:18:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal ![]() Posts: 1799 |
There's a handy tutorial in the tutorial section in LittleBigPlanet 3 about using the Dynamic Thermo as well, mate ![]() | 2014-11-30 02:21:00 Author: LittleBigSnooth ![]() Posts: 454 |
I know about the dynamic thermometer, I am currently using it in my levels. But it doesn't remove the borders so this really doesn't answer my question. | 2014-11-30 03:14:00 Author: rorohokishu ![]() Posts: 16 |
I believe the dynamic thermometer does remove the borders if you aren't using a level background. I haven't used it yet, but I swear I've heard that from a couple of friends. | 2014-11-30 03:37:00 Author: KlawwTheClown ![]() Posts: 1106 |
I thought of that lol. I tried both blank backgrounds, but I haven't tried a level background, so hopefully that's what your friends meant. I'll try when I get home, thanks Klaww | 2014-11-30 03:47:00 Author: rorohokishu ![]() Posts: 16 |
It certainly doesnt remove the border of Blank Background from LBP1 | 2014-11-30 07:36:00 Author: poorjack ![]() Posts: 1806 |
What I have heard from beta people is if you keep the LBP3 blank background, set it to dynamic, leave and come back then it should be gone. Don't know exactly though as I haven't tried it. | 2014-11-30 08:12:00 Author: koltonaugust ![]() Posts: 1382 |

Tried this. Seems that it has to be a LBP3 level background (Ziggurat, etc). Once you turn on Dynamic Thermo it'll expand to a much larger size. It still has borders though. | 2014-11-30 08:49:00 Author: MomoFerret ![]() Posts: 66 |
Yeah, just tried with LBP3 blank level, and the borders are definitely there. | 2014-11-30 08:52:00 Author: poorjack ![]() Posts: 1806 |
There is a way to do this; it works in LBP1 and LBP2 but I haven't tried it in LBP3 yet, but in theory it should still work. People have managed to save the pod level from LBP1 to their moon, and there's a guy called JimmyJ75 who has it available to copy to your own. You can find it here (http://lbp.me/v/gq7wzd). You can just delete the Pod object when you start editing it. Basically, this level has no borders, both physically and appearance-wise, and so objects will just be automatically destroyed upon falling too far. It also has some weird effects on object lethality, but you might be able to use the new sackperson death logic to get around that. | 2014-12-03 21:04:00 Author: Blue Helmet ![]() Posts: 306 |
Are we sure that the borders don't increase as you put more stuff in the level though? | 2014-12-04 05:18:00 Author: koltonaugust ![]() Posts: 1382 |
