Hi, I'm thinking of buying the digital version of PS4 LBP3 but before I get my credit card, I have questions. 1: I'm not a mad fan of platform games, I only want to buy to use the creation side of the game, am I forced to play the story mode to unlock it? 2: I'm interested in recreating classic arcade games in the creator, ie:- space invaders, dig dug, asteroids, new rally x, are games like this even possible to create? 3: how easy is it to learn to create things? I'm not a programmer and I'm getting on a bit, so at times it takes me a while to learn new things. 4: does the game come with a printer guide or is there a guide to the creator that I can download or even buy? Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help. 1: You can exit to your pod and then access create mode right after the tutorial level... ...however, you do have to complete the levels to their fullest extent if you want to access all of the game's assets. You'll start out with a few (considering your interests, you may not even need much more than sticker panel) 2: Absolutely, but it will take a good bit of logic use to pull off. You have to be up to the task yourself, or seek assistance from someone who can help out. 3: It's hard to quantify the easiness of the create mode tools between multiple people. I liken it to learning any toolset; the more you work with it, the more you discover, even if that takes a while. There are plenty of sources for assistance, however, both the community here, and... 4: No printed guides, but there is a series of official tutorials (https://lbp.me/videos/tutorial) (rocket-ships on the sides change pages) on LBP.me that cover just about every tool at your disposal. Also, the game has some Pop-it Puzzles that give you some pretty easy hands-on puzzles in play mode that teach you how to use the most basic fundamental tools of the game. They only cover a select portion, but they're worth playing anyways, just to provide you with some helpful tips. There might be room for more of them as added content later, but I wouldn't count on anything. So there you have it. One last thing in learning to create stuff. Although the tutorials are very useful in teaching you what individual tools are capable of, none of them are going to tell you how to make the levels you want to make. It's up to you to take what you've learned and apply it in such a way that will produce a result that you're satisfied with. That said, you can always ask other creators here for help or ideas, myself included. I've got something like level 12 logic skills, and I'm pretty good with a bo staff, but I'm not always familiar with some more mathematical shortcuts, and sometimes end up doing things the long way. But I, like you, am always and forever learning.
