So I got a message on PSN from my nephew, most likely about a lbp level he made while I was playing Killzone 2. So I was between missions just got a ribbon (bronze medal for beating one of the areas) and though I would read his message. WRONG!!! When I was done reading it, the game was frozen, and the save file corrupted. So I have to start all over and I was almost at a bunch of marks for trophies - like 25 revives, and knife kills, etc. So at least people who see this won't make my mistake... stay away from the cross media bar (hitting the god button) when a game is saving.

Well that's some really bad debugging on the part of the dev and Sony. There are guys paid to check such things during the certification process. A game isn't supposed to be approve for manifacturing if the XMB is causing problems with the game. I see that some AAA devs are cutting some slack! .

Thanks for telling us that info. If you hadn't told me then I would of probably used the XMB while the game is saving and losing all my save data sometime in the future.

Hmm, I do this all the time too. I have had my system freeze up once only while messaging, but this was during play mode so there was nothing to lose. Good to know, thanks.

This might only be on KZ2, who knows - I was just soooooo frustrated when it happened. I already have to play through the single player 3 times. First play through to unlock Elite, then on Elite, then on easy without dying once - all for trophy sake of course... but this added a 4th time through. I finally did beat it last night. Worth the pain for sure, amazing game.

Worth the pain for sure, amazing game. If you hit mission select you can individually go to check points and beat the game on elite and without dying one checkpoint at a time.
