I'm trying to start a short cut-scene that takes place across the map. I want it to cut to it immediately and then after a second or so I want it to start panning around in fluid movements. Basically I want it to cut to a scene, then soft pan seamlessly. I tried to start a movie camera with cut , then with a timer, start a movie camera with soft or hard pan, but it never doesn't seem to want to start until about 2 seconds after the first camera is finished... I also tried a sequencer but it's only support camera with the cut setting it seems... Ultimately I'm trying to create the illusion of a door opening from a first person view... Similar to opening doors in resident evil games.

I haven't messed much with cameras and sequencers, but from what I remember, you need to have them 'overlap' in the sequencer in order to blend them for things like pans.
