Just watched Taken, bloomin great action film I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. | 2009-02-28 22:20:00 Author: Boomy Posts: 3701 |

Yeah, I think Taken is awesome. I've just watched a film called "Into the Wild" Not usually my thing but this one is really quite soul touching. Watch it if you get a chance. YouTube - Into the Wild - Trailer | 2009-02-28 22:46:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
I usually like to throw rocks at the movies that win Oscars, but Slumdog Millionaire was a really good movie IMHO. Maybe somone could make a level mimicing the escape from the outhouse scene Quite the gross moment, but funny as all get out. | 2009-02-28 22:53:00 Author: mrjoeyman Posts: 217 |
i watched Bee Movie 5 days ago and it was preety good Yeah anything by Seinfeld is good. But of course my avatar gave that away. Edit: And olit, Into the Wild was very good too. I myself wouldnt want to live in an old bus in Alaska, but some folks actually would I guess. | 2009-02-28 22:55:00 Author: mrjoeyman Posts: 217 |
Recently I've been catching up on the Oscar nominations, Benjamin Button, The Reader, Slumdog, etc... I really liked Benjamin, and I thought some of the others were interesting, but not a must see. My sister also showed me a rather weird little flick called 'Flakes'. It was pretty good. | 2009-02-28 23:04:00 Author: Morrinn3 Posts: 493 |
I thought Slumdog was okay, but I was not as big a fan as most. Personally I would not have picked it for best picture, but then again, there's no accounting for taste. I was however a bit miffed about Slumdog also taking 'Best adapted Screenplay'. Having both seen the flicks and read the books based on them, I felt the Benjamin Button screenplay was far superior. | 2009-02-28 23:09:00 Author: Morrinn3 Posts: 493 |
Not really a film as such, more of a short animation, but This Way Up was a top notch animation. You can see it for a few days at BBC Iplayer, until next tuesday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00htlr4/b00htlqw/This_Way_Up/ | 2009-02-28 23:11:00 Author: LFF Posts: 434 |

I've been watching a lot of movies...so lets see.... Max Payne - actually pretty good. Mothman Prophecies - Awesome Donnie Darko (rewatched) - best movie ever besides Cloverfield. | 2009-03-01 02:08:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
Rock n Rolla next up: Vantage Point It's movie night | 2009-03-01 03:33:00 Author: LuckyShot Posts: 713 |
I watched Waltz With Bashir quite recently. It's an Israeli animated-documentary film about the 1982 Lebanon war. Very interesting with gorgeous visuals and an interesting mix of the surreal and the harrowing. Reminded me a little of Apocolypse Now. It was nominated for best foreign language film at teh Oscars. Just took my kids to see Slumdog Millionaire today. Very good movie - awesome soundtrack. | 2009-03-01 05:59:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
I watched the curious case of benjamin button a few days ago. Thought it was a very interesting and intriguing film. I recommend watching it if you don't have anything else to do, it's a good watch. (although a long one) | 2009-03-01 09:35:00 Author: Dynashock Posts: 69 |
Man on Wire - How did they make a documentary on a guy who snuck into the Twin Towers in the 70s and tight-rope walked between them so **** touching? I mean seriously, by the end of it, characters are in tears, and it's not hard to feel a profound inspiration that digs way, way deeper than you could ever possibly expect from this movie. The Wrestler - I think this was the best movie I saw in 2008. Way better than the other best picture nominees for my money. Mickey Rourke puts himself onscreen in a way that very few actors have the guts to do. Milk - I saw every Best Picture nominee, and I think this was the best out of the bunch. At the very least, it was the most honest. I loved it. Great atmosphere too, in creating a place, a mood, and a period. | 2009-03-01 09:38:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
Death note. Cool Asian film. It's about a book and whoevers name you write in it dies. | 2009-03-01 09:48:00 Author: pembo Posts: 38 |
I'm watching the terminator, I just love it. I just watched this again recently! A week or so ago. Been forever since I've seen it. Stands up to time amazingly well! It struck me that this is actually a genuinely terrifying story. That random thought made me put it on. But it really is a terrifying nightmare idea (inspired by fever dreams James Cameron had when he was sick making his first movie Piranha 2). This idea that you can look out your window right now, safe from inside your house - and somewhere out there is this killing machine, an inhuman monster that's looking for you right now and will never stop until it finds you and kills you. It cares for nothing else. You've done nothing wrong. There's no guilt, no punishment. It's just there, and it's coming for you, and nothing can stop it. I'm sorry, but that is some go******** frightening business. | 2009-03-01 10:16:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |

I just watched Wall-E. the first 45 minutes or so of that movie was some of the best filmmaking I saw in 2008. I can't express how much I loved the first chunk of that movie. Once they leave Earth, my interest dropped substantially, but everything up until then was top, top tier. | 2009-03-03 00:11:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |

Saw Slumdog Millionaire finally! It's pretty good, not incredible not pretty good. The mix of fun and hardship worked really well. Saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button as well. I thought it was very good until near the end but I knew that was going to be the case when I started watching the film. The unrealistic nature of the film just got to be too much. Still the performances, music, costumes and cinematography were all outstanding. Glad I watched it but not a film I'd want to watch again soon. | 2009-03-17 02:34:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |
I just saw shooter for the first time that is the sickest movie ever! | 2009-03-17 03:35:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |

Within the last week I've watched... Dr. Strangelove (3rd time rewatching it) Slum Dog Millionaire Vertigo | 2009-04-16 07:10:00 Author: simpleviolet Posts: 3 |
Saw "Knowing". It's pretty good though it tries to be a jack-of-all-trades. It's like a thriller, horror, disaster, alien movie. The disaster sequences in the movie are fantastic though and the movie is well worth seeing for them alone. Just don't expect a good ending. Also saw Fast & the Furious. Was ok, nothing special. Walker's performance was awful though. Completely wooden. Vin Diesel was... Vin Diesel. You didn't give a crap about the story at all, just waited impatiently for the next stunt. And I didn't think it was quite as flashy as 1/2. | 2009-04-16 16:18:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |
