Guys in newtons lab you see blueprints of the king and queen from lbp 1 and a blueprint of da vinci, why was he trying to build them? was he a loner like the collector?

Its because Newton is "Creatively Bankrupt" and pretty much anything he has built was either already made and modified or stolen from someone else. However he was able to build a portal. Also. Collector can be seen in the background of The Great Escape

Seeing as how you can see his versions of the queen and king, he obviously failed. I always thought Newton to be the type of creator that was only good in certain things. Perhaps when he builds to prove that he is not a loser, he fails, but when he creates something without any malicious purpose, he's really good at it. After all, his intentions were actually noble in the beginning. He has some deep psychological trauma. Look at all his awards. They are "Last Place" with an X and "1st" placed over them. I thought that was a great way to show a part of his character.

I think Newton was a symbol of a amateur yet egotistical creator who wanted to be loved and accepted by everyone. But he was unskilled and had no idea or anybody willing to help him learn how to get better. He was treated as a disappointment by everyone even his family who cares about him. Newton being the uncreative sort relied heavily on taking other people's ideas and reworking them into his own versions. at first he relied mostly on his dad's creations and tried to put his own twist on them... and because he's a amateur goof up he didn't even do a great job at his editing. later he hoped to get the attention he wanted by making himself look like a hero reshaping the world into his own dreamland which he thought would make not only himself but everyone else happy too. but as with all lust for self serving power he got absorbed and lost in it especially as nobody was supporting him. Only after he nearly ruins everything does he realize what he has done. He did care about others happiness and loved his family too... you can see this from the statue room of his family in hidden in his evil base. At least this is more or less how I saw it all. *mew His story is not a uncommon 1. it's a message to not get overly self absorbed. and learn to get along with others and make friends i think. also i think it was trying to say to help and support others as we all go little crazy when left alone and ignored and when we get looked down on by others even when we are trying our best. I think Newton was cool villein. *mew ...It kinda made me sad the game forced me to be against him. I'd love to had helped him as his assistant while taking over bunken but failing to do so. =P

What if, when he sacknapped Sackboy from Craftworld, he accidentally picked up those three as well? Actually... You just made me think. He had to of been watching Sackboy for quite a while to know the things he knows to actually MAKE the robots. Unless of course, the Collector influenced and told him to make the robots. But then, the Collector would have to have been abducted long before Sackboy, or while Newton's under the influence of the titans, he creates a looot faster.
