Is it possible to make a power up follow something while it's being held?

EDIT: Nevermind, solved it by putting the follower on a broadcast chip set to broadcast to the nearest player  Video for anyone who's curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E_-k0LazDUI'm trying to make the hookshot from the Legend of Zelda series. Since the powerup itself doesn't interact with anything while it's being held, I was hoping to emit the chain, have it extend and retract when it hits something, and when it retracts, I wanted the powerup handle to follow the base of the chain as it retracts. Unfortunately it seems the power up creator doesn't respond to any outside logic as well as physics. Does anyone have any idea of what I should do?
