LBP Typewriter

I don't know about you guys, but I HATE trying to lay out a lot of text. So over the past couple of days I've set out to make a typewriter of sorts to help things along. I have a working prototype now that can easily handle most of my needs, but I'm wondering how far I should take it.

I have it set to be able to add pretty much any font to it and adjust the sizing/spacing of the "cursor" to fit anything up to three large squares wide, by three high. Basically I am setting up a "font chip" system where I can store the font on a microchip in a standard format. The chip holds the width, height, and spacing info for the font as well as the emiters for the letters themselves. There's still a bit to do on this, but the idea is to make these chips so that they just plug into a selector and are ready to go without any further tweaking.

It needs some cleanup and finishing touches, but so far is coming along nicely.
My questions are:
1) Would other people be interested in having something like this to use?
2) If so, what features do you think it should have?

The reason I ask is that right now it does 90% of what I need it for, and I can edit easily enough, but the user interface is pretty basic. If there is interest, I'll clean it up some, optimize it, and build a UI around it with whatever features seem reasonable.

Well for starters. Make the keyboard not like actual keyboards. As in the layout. Putting them in alphabetical order would be far easier.

There's also numbers, punctuation, certain symbols, and capitalization.

Although, assuming they don't add in the notes from Vita any time soon, I think something like this would be beneficial to the community.

I'm using this one

It is well done and you can add your own fonts, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of different typewriters out there. Definitely gonna try this one out though.

PS: Why that is MM picked, I have no idea.

Thanks for the input.

Yeah, it needs punctuation and numbers and such. I was mostly just trying to get the functionality of it down.

I don't think I will use an alphabetical layout for the letters. It's just counter intuitive.

Looks like there's not really much reason to set it up to publish though, so I think I may just save myself the extra few days' work and use it as is. I didn't realize this was such a common idea.
