I'm thinking about starting over, since one of my Hub levels is broken and I'm not sure it will get fixed in any patch. So I'm wondering if I have some info correct on importing your LBP1 and LBP2 items/progress. From what I've read, as long as you've played LBP1 at all, you'll unlock ALL items from that game even if you never unlocked them before. Is this correct? Because that's how I read it. Now, with LBP2 I got a little confused. I read that LBP3 will see how far you got in LBP2 and unlock accordingly. If you have save data, it will read that first. And if you don't have save data on the PS3 you are playing, the game will check your Pin Progress and unlock based on Pins. I've read that if it goes the "Pin" route, as long as you have the Pin that says you cleared a "section" (Avalonia for example), you'll unlock ALL items in the section, even if you didn't unlock them in LBP2. So if this is correct, as long as you have a Pin saying you beat the game, it will unlock everything, IF I'm understanding how this works. My first question is, am I right so far? If I am correct so far, should I delete the LBP2 save data first and force the "Pin Route"? Will it only import what I've actually unlocked in LBP2 if it reads the save data? Thanks for any help.

Don't delete your saves... the automatic unlock is only for the Ps4 version as there is no real way to transfer the profile between the two platforms. On Ps3 you'll simply have anything you unlocked in LBP1 & 2 and if you want to unlock anything more you'll need to play those games again.

You can do it just with pins on PS3, you can select "merge profiles" instead of "import profile" in the Start-Menu, I had to do it, because have EU LBP2 and US LBP3, couldnt import profile, but with pins it worked... BUT this way, you have to collect all prices from DLC again, so, don't know its better for you to collect your storyprices instead and import then...
