Controllinator that switches controls to a new controller.

Archive: 3 posts

I am sure the title sounds a bit confusing but here's the idea. I have a robot you control with the controllinator, but I want it to have the ability to "plug in" to a vehicle and then be able to to control it. You press triangle to activate the control when the robot is in the plug in panel and triangle again to disconnect.

The problem I am having is when i activate the vehicle, I still can fly around with my robot, is there a way to disregard the robot's controls when activating the vehicle and then back to the robot when you disengage?

Since I don't know how you exactly built the logic, I can't tell what you should do to fix it easily. An easy solution is if you have one controllinator for each remote controlled object, and one controllinator for the player. Set the controllinator of the player to transmitter and the remote controlled objects to receivers. Have the same the colour on all three controllinators. When you want to deactivate one controllinator, simply connect a wire to the controllinator's input below in the middle. Once activated, the controllinator will deactivate and it won't receive any signals from the transmitter.

If you still don't understand, hit me up on LBP2 so I can show it to you.
