Boss workshop and Samurai Stuff

Archive: 6 posts

I've been letting these collect dust for quite awhile and don't plan on finishing the levels or using them any time soon, so I thought I'd put them into some object showcase levels to show them off in the mean time.

Boss Workshop
features:
- a scrapped flying boss from SEMINAL GEMINI, that we couldn't fit because of thermometer limitations
- the original version of Metal Gear Zero that I had built before sending it to TheGide for him to retool and change for his Shadow Moses level
- a single plane version of the UFO boss from Contra - Snowfield
- the unused dwarf gekko's I designed for TheGide's MGS level
- the later redesigned security camera... let it spot you and it will emit an exclamation point
- an unused 3 layer, triplet tank that was also cut from the Shadow Moses level for thermometer reasons
- the very original Metal Gear I designed, that was completely scrapped in favor of the 2nd iteration

Samurai Stuff
features:
- an ox drawn cart
- an NPC Buddha
- a few different versions of an NPC woman, who is grieving for her dead family
- an insanely nice Warlord boss... turn him on and watch him gracefully perform his sword form, complete with brilliant effects and enchanted powers... climb up his leg, onto his arm, and onto his shoulders to rip off his helmet, then repeat and pop his weakpoint
- a beautiful home

All of the Samurai stuff takes up so much therm that I've been putting off building a level for it, as I have no idea how I'm going to fit it all into one level and still have room to make a level lol it's just been sitting around for about 2 months.

I'll have to check this out. I've seen metal gear Zero, but I never heard of metal gear -1.2009-02-28 01:42:00

For sure, man. Any feedback is appreciated... I'm proud of all these, and I spend alot of time bbuilding and designing machines or characters that I never get around to using... figured there was no reason to let them rot in the dark.2009-02-28 01:51:00

Ninja, your samurai is still the coolest LBP boss I've seen to date. I really hope you put this guy in a level sometime, or I'll have to build another level just so you can show it off at the end!2009-02-28 05:31:00

I'll have to check the samurai stuff out. The samurai boss sounds interesting.

You should post some screenshots of it.

Thanks alot, TheGide. That's really why I got sick of letting him sit around, 'cause I want people to see him lol I think there's alot more I could do with him knowing what I know now - simple logic and survival game staples etc I think the only way I can do that Samurai boss, or any of the objects and stuff any justice, is to do a multipart series with a real engaging story and very short and specific locales. More like the L.O.V.E. level that was really limited by detail too... I'm gonna take a break for awhile though, and wait til I have the perfect ideas and am in the mood to do it.

I would if I had a cam, Sosaku.
