Tired of accidentally making my level "copyable"!

Archive: 13 posts

This is the most annoying thing I've encountered in this game to date. If you accidentally scroll too far to the right while the menu is up for your published levels, it republishes it as copyable.

The last thing most of us want to do is give anyone the opportunity to copy our hard work by accident! Please disable this as the default action when you try to scroll.

Yes, I absolutely hate this happening. They should make you have to press 'x' or something to see the copyable and locked stuff.2009-02-27 19:21:00

Exactly, they should at least ask for your confirmation.
Happens to me a lot actually

The best thing to do when cycling the menus is to either use the sticks or L1 and R1 to change the pages.2009-02-27 19:40:00

You're not alone. This is an old (and still annoying) problem.

Honestly, they should be checkboxes that we would need to hit "X" over, or placed at the very last page of the level (after Comments and such).

I learned the hard way also. Pressing the r buttons to scroll stops this happening though as was mentioned above.

I think we desperatly need fixes, not more premium content. MM are more intrested in making money and removing the helpful bugs (republishing and the gas glitch) than they are sorting out the more urgent problems

It would be nice if we could have a representative on these forums that could get direct communication with Sam the PR guy.

Obviously Mm misses a lot of things that come by on this page... perhaps we need to be taking a more proactive approach to get our messages over to the devs.

I disagree slightly. They've gotten rid of a lot of problems that was compulsory to the game. This, however isn't a compulsory one, although it's annoying. They've still updated quite a few of those horrible bugs and the 'helpful' ones are just encouraging people to spend maybe a little more time on their creations to learn a little more on the tools and mechanics of the game.

Despite this, I agree that we don't need much premium content, but some people are almost guaranteed to become mental if this is stopped being updated for just a little bit.

I do it with "locked" too.
A simple confirmation screen isn't much to ask for.

I've unintentionally re-published my level more times that intentionally because of this annoyance. I agree... it needs a fixin'. As S-A-S--G-U-N-R pointed out, using the L1 and R1 to flip pages will help... but frankly I get caught up in using my D-pad so much for scrolling other times that it's just second nature and I end up resorting back to old habits. They need to at least give us the ole "Are You SURE!?... you really want to make this copyable or lockable?" prompt as someone else stated.2009-03-01 01:35:00

It does bother me but I use the L1 and R1 to move the pages. 2009-03-02 12:52:00
