Can't play community levels with guest on PS4?
Archive: 4 posts
Maybe this is a PS4 question rather than an LBP one, but I had my nephew over and we wanted to try out one of my levels to see how it handled the transition to LBP3. We found that it wouldn't let us in at all because he wasn't signed into psn. It also wouldn't let me into the store. My nephew is an xbox man so he doesn't have a psn account: is it REALLY necessary just so that I can access the store on MY profile and download DLC or whatever to MY profile or am I just doing something wrong? | 2014-11-19 23:27:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
It might be because of PS Plus having to carry over an actual PSN account. Maybe not. I was also a bit frustrated about not being able to just play as a guest when doing co-op. Luckily I have a second PSN account that I let my own nephew use. I don't think the people on PS3 have this problem. | 2014-11-19 23:51:00 Author: FluxDigital Posts: 6 |
I have noticed that on ps4. I am pretty let down by that decision. Seems like we can change the "create, play, share" to "create, pay, play, share". | 2014-11-20 15:23:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
Yeah, this is a ridiculous move on Sony's part. It seems that just turning on a second controller forces me to log into another psn account or get kicked off the network. If I'd known, I don't think I'd have gotten a PS4. Sorry, I realize this isn't an LBP specific issue, but I pretty much got the PS4 for LBP so I never would've noticed outside the game. Fortunately, even though I haven't yet purchased a PS+ account, I'm able to access community levels so that's nice. I just can't play with anybody else, online or local. | 2014-11-20 22:44:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
