Hey people!

Hey guys I'm new to this site and wanted to say hello to everyone, my thoughts on lbp3 and possibly find people to play with!

Well, I'm in my mid twenties and the anticipation to me for lbp3 was just unbearable, I felt like a 12 year old girl who just got her first kiss when I first saw the E3 trailer. I slept around 7 pm so I could wake up at midnight to play the game as soon as it came out (I played lbp and lbp2 since their launch). Really excited about the 16 layers, being able to create your own powerups, quests, etc. It's like the game went from 100 games in 1 to 10000 games in 1 and I can't wait to see what the community will release for us lazy, untalented guys.

However, surprise surprise, they still haven't fixed the **** networking. I've been trying to play but for some reason everyone is being rude or is just too focused on getting their prises and keep rejecting me when I try to join them. When I finally find someone, it's usually someone very young who slaps your character because they take the game way too seriously and you crossed the finish line time and time again before them (without really meaning to). It's either that scenario or the game crashes, the usual "game diverged", "blabla left" "connection lost" bs. Where's the dive in function? I have to chose levels every time now? Kinda kills the vibe of stumbling upon hidden gems.

My biggest issue lies with the bugs. I mean I understand the game just came out but some of these bugs were so **** obvious. This begs the question, what the hell were the beta testers doing? Just playing around with all the new toys available to them? I personally found 2 bugs that shot me out of the map, one of them was on a swoop level and the other was in a "hub", I forgot which. This goes without mentioning how many times I've had to repeat levels because progress didn't save and the main planet (in the pod) disappearing all the time. I was actually paranoid playing this game because I didn't want to have to redo everything I did. All this sure is a bummer but isn't letting my love of lbp die down, though

Anyway, what are your thoughts on lbp3 so far? I would love to hear your input!

If you would like to play together, which I'd love to as lbp never felt so lonely, add me on PS3, my username is OstropoloS

Heya, Ostropolos!

I know what you mean by playing wit other random sackdudes. Those who aren't freaking around or slapping your sackdude are the ones who rejects you when you try to join, because they know that there is lots of those young childish players just coming to screw all around the place. But sometimes I've met great persons by jumping into a random pod!

I haven't tested LBP3 at all but it looks cool and I can't wait to lay my fingers on it so I can make my creations alive!

Anyways enjoy this community because you can't be slapped in here psychically!

See ya!

Cheers guys for the warm welcomes!

Sadly TenebrisNemo, I don't think you still can randomly jump into peoples' pods. Your choices have to be a lot more specific. The game right now is set in 4 stages, the prologue and 3 story themes. Each one has a "hub" kind of level where you just play the main story levels and their mini-games. This would be your best bet right now. I've been trying to find another way to join people online but this seems to be the most effective, random, one out there.

Hehe the only people who accept me seem to be underage actually, so you may be right about that (I can't believe no one laughed at my Mr. Popo costume yet!!!)

I doubt I'll take an active part in the forum but I will definitely come here for tutorials and such to make my own levels. If I actually find the time (as I'm currently working on a professional license) I will make a proper SNES Super Mario port!! I've found a couple but they're either really short or their physics are messed up, which I understand, as I tried going down that path.

But yeah, don't worry about the slaps, I can take a lot of them I just want to play!

....... the older you are, the better!
What do you consider old?
Seriously though, there are a lot of mature younger players here at LBPC also. (They certainly have quicker reflexes then I do! lol )

My apologies! What I meant to say was mature. Someone who enjoys playing the game for what it is, I don't want to play no McDonald's burger grabbing levels if you know what I mean

Hi Ostopolos,

welcome to our beloved forum, fine that you've joined us! I think that you will soon find lots of friends to discuss with about LBP3. I will join your discussion, when I've got a PS4 with LBP3 on Christmas Eve! And hopefully til then all the bugs have been fixed! Omg! If so then maybe there will be no need to discuss about LBP3 anymore!
Have a lot of fun here and many greetings, Jürgen^^
