If there is one game (or an entire series for that matter) that lives and dies by its community, it is definitely Little Big Planet. Preventing LBP3 from being a cross-play game will severely fragment our awesome community and result in a more limited pool of players on each platform down the line as the months go by. Between the PS4 players who don't want PS+ and will therefore buy the PS3 version to have access to online multiplayer, the PS3 players who don't want a PS4 and will only buy the game on PS3, and the late PS4 adopters who may get a PS4 in a year or two but won't rebuy the game then for PS4, the players will lose a lot of potential playing partners in the months/years to come by not having cross-play in the game. Even buying both versions of the game does not solve the problem on the players end, since even then, you will have to choose between 2 distinct pools of players, not being able to play with all your friends at once, etc... Please Sumo, please... reconsider making LBP3 cross play and try to implement this feature in an upcoming patch. The longevity of the game and the great community aspect that this series is founded on will GREATLY benefit from this and it will also increase the likelihood that we see an LBP4 in the future by having a more prosperous and active LBP3 in the meantime. There are a few games that do it. Final fantasy 14 (PS3,PS4,PC), and D.C universe online (PS3,PS4,PC) come to mind. However those games are pretty much the same, with the exception of improved graphics and stability on the better platforms. Littlebigplanet 3 on the other hand, actually added more features on PS4, so adding cross platform multiplayer would be more difficult.

Im pretty sure TF2 is compatible with ps3 and PC. As for LBP, ive seen people comment on other forums/youtube that there is cross-play.

Im pretty sure TF2 is compatible with ps3 and PC. Never was. (Also PS3 is is the same game as when it launched PC has years worth of additional content) Portal 2 did have cross-platform co-op between PS3 and PC with the PS3 having some steam integration.

I don't think Team Fortress was cross compatibly between PS3 and PC. I also think the only games that have PS3/PS4 Cross play are online only, meaning I think the servers need to be specialized for it, which no doubt, would cost a lot of money.

They can't make the basic game work right now, I'd say cross play is a low priority.
