Did the Invisible Material transfer?

I know we can adjust the opacity of any object, but it's not nearly as useful as the material itself.2014-11-18 14:31:00

No, because as you said, every material can be invisible material. It'd be redundant.2014-11-18 15:16:00

Does glitched invisible material still work in LBP3?2014-11-18 15:20:00

As I explained, it's not. The invisible material is much easier to use. It's a pain having to toggle preview on and off, at least it was in the beta.

I don't understand the bit about preview mode, you could see the invisible material when not in preview mode (so you can pick it)...a material with an opacity tweaker to make it 100% transparent isn't any different, it's almost fully transparent when not in preview mode. Also, toggling preview on/off was just R3 or something super convenient.

That's said, I'd still want the invisible material...as it is more convenient for the same reason that static/dynamic is better than having to use a gravity tweaker or glue. The opacity tweaker (and gravity tweaker) are great if you want to change the state, but if it's always going to be transparent, or always going to be static, requiring a tweaker is sub-optimal.

Maybe I'll change my opinion, it's been a month since I have messed with it. I just remember it being a real pain to use and the entire time I was wishing I had the IM back.

There is also all the reasons you pointed out.

I also think it uses less thermo than constantly having to add logic to change the opacity.

Just checked now, the invisible material does transfer.

I saw that. Sucks. I hope they add it later.

Oh, I'm a bit confused. I mean that the invisible material -is- in LBP3, looking at it right now.

Oh, I misunderstood you.

Are you talking about the same thing? There was the invisible material and the sticker panel material.

Are you on PS3? Do you have the Move DLC?

Ah alrighty. Yes, I'm talking about the invisible material and and I'm on the PS3. I also have the Move DLC.

That explains it. They added the material for everybody in a patch. They didn't carry the material over to LBP3, it seems. I imagine you can still get it through the DLC.

I would assume it would have to transfer due to the weird physics of the material (also the confirmation helps )2014-11-19 01:35:00
