Password Problems

Archive: 5 posts

This might not fit here, but...

Recently I have not been able to figure out my PSN password. I'm still able to use PSN on my PS3 and PSVita, as I enable "Save Password", but I can't sign in on anything else or change the billing information, which I need right now. Also, whenever it was changed, I didn't notice because the number of characters in the password was the same.

The first method I thought of is resetting my password; however, the email that I use for my account was mainly only created for the account, and I haven't used the email account itself for so long that I've forgotten the password for it.

Next I tried resetting my password with the email and birthday, but I made my account before I was 18, so I don't remember what date of birth I ended up using. I tried going here (http://www.mediafire.com/download/ncbirik81luzrcr/PSNBirthdayRecover12EN.rar), but my computer can't run the .EXE file in it for whatever reason, and I can't ask any of you to privately get the date of birth because the email that I use gives away private information, and you need the email to get the date of birth from it.

Also, I'm honestly confused that you're asked for secret questions and answers if you never use them (as far as I'm aware) for signing into your account without a password.
Could someone here please help me in my quest for retrieving my password?

One option could be to email Sony... but then I guess they won't be too happy with the fact that you've lied about your DOB, although I'm sure they will have come across similar problems.

Another option would be to go through the .EXE route, but ask someone you trust to run it. Doesn't have to be someone on here, I suppose it could be one of your real life friends. You could even use their PC to run the .EXE and access your email.

Yeah, I was thinking that asking someone to run the password receiving program on their PC would be the most logical choice. I'll see what I can do!

You can even be present while he/she is doing it, just to make perfectly sure that they're not snooping.
