Sackbot Level: Dragonball Z Goku vs. Vegeta 1 or 2 player duel

Hello all,

Usually I cringe when I hear fighting sackbots. But as I was a fan of Dragon ball Z and you mentioned alic44, I had to give this a try.

I was impressed! It really felt like the cartoon. The powers and the flight were expertly done. The AI bot kicked my butt. Can you knock each other through the mountains like in the cartoon? That would be cool.

Hello,

Thank you for those kind words they mean alot. I always make sure to give homage to Alic44 for if it wasn't for him, I would have never invested deeper in bot logic and yes you can push your opponents through the rock formations. Hopefully others will get to see and not cringe at the sight of a bot level lol.

Not a fan or follower of Dragonball Z so I would say a lot of the detail and effort is lost on me, but I did think that that actual fighting was well done.

The level in the desert did seem a tad sparse though (I know that deserts don't have much going on though).

I found that one of the attacks seemed more responsive than the others, so I found myself favouring the same attack.

If I knew more about the source material, then maybe I would adieu mixed up the attacks more though

Hey thanks for the critique,

I wanted to use dbz to demonstrate how far I could take sackbot logic so forgive me if the theme isn't familiar or liked by a large audience haha.

They usually fight in a desert throughout the show and the level couldn't possibly hold anymore detail in the look of it.

Not sure about the not so responsive attacks, I did however delay some of them so the users couldn't spam the attacks so much.

I guess by responsive I mean it felt mor immediate with a damage effect.

not like thee was lag, but rather I pressed it, and the other got hurt more often than not. So I sort of started to spam it

The actual choice of source material is not a negative either, I should have said that maybe some of the details were lost on me. So I didn't want to talk about actual attacks but rather that the bots work well, and the AI seems to do some interesting things.
