Hey guys! I'm planning to make a 3d type sonic level, and here is how it can be done. Sidescroller: I can just make the usual lbp2 type sonic level, with some 3d movement and 16 layers. 3d Simulator This is like Comic Gate(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEbPEW_KpQw). All the obstacles come at sonic, and sonic has to jump/boost/duck onto/into them. Full 3d This is where the whole level is top down, and there's a 3d rotatable camera to make look 3d. What are your thoughts?

I'm still wondering if there really is a 3D rotatable cam in LBP3. If not, I'll probably just do a 3D simulator or sidescroller(with 3D movement and 16 layers).

Well both of the examples in the beta aren't full rotatable 3d cameras. I think that the Sally level method is a good alternative though.

you can get glitch 3d cams in lbp2 weather they transfer over and still work is another thing but I know some people have made some pretty good 3d levels using it simular to what you're suggesting so it may be possible even without new tools. good luck on the project though

Thanks! And yes, I'm planning to make the entire level full 3d. The problem is that none of the 3d cams in lbp3 have rotation. Camera rotation would open up so many more features for a sonic level.
