Oh jeez, my dumb little "bye bye beta" thing opens up for the entire video. 'Tis an honour and a privilege.

Thanks for recording these. I didn't get a chance to play them, but now they'll never die!

We're in the final stretch. I can not wait for LBP3 to release!

Aww sweet, my jungle tid-bit made it in (@ 10 mins)! There was this foggy top section with some tar and slides that you missed by jumping straight to the lower part, but that's the fault of my level design (it requires you to hop inward on the layers 3 times, plus there were some vines that let you climb back up, but I never got those properly illuminated) more than anything.

Mostly I just wanted to play with the lighting and see how pretty I could make a level.

Aw what the hell I thought the beta would last until the game was released? I didn't even have a chance to publish what I was working on or report the bugs! That was a really short beta. 2014-11-02 10:01:00

So...
Sackboy using Toggle's animations, I understand.
But how did you get that sound? I gotta know, man!

Awww. On the plus side it means that the game is getting closer to being released and I for one cannot wait until someone uploads a commentary free version of the story mode. I wasn't impressed with Supermassive's DC level kit but I'm pretty optimistic.

It is...and if you're lucky you'll get the Bug Blaster costume... ...If only.......
*I want it!

Actually it's just using regular Sackboy animations. I just piled a whole bunch of animations on top of each other until they looked as messed up as possible. If there's anything I "mastered" over the course of the beta it's definitely the character animation tweaker (by master, I mean that I probably have a slightly above-average understanding of how to use it).

The sound is from the new "Emotivox" sound effect category. It has a bunch of different sound clips of different voices, including a jump sound, a greeting, an "in pain" sound, etc. I think the sound that the Toggle choir is using is actually the death sound of one of the story mode characters or something.

Talking about proper illumination... I failed to make that last jump to the scoreboard, I never realised there were vines there I could climb.

Yes, very educational video for me. And I'm even in it!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention from the outset that vines were climbable. I did add the score bubbles (they weren't there when I first published the level) to kind of guide the player and reward exploration, since the whole atmospheric theme of the level was a dark and overwhelming jungle that you could easily get lost in. But I did put some bubbles on the vines in the hopes that the player would make the connection there.

Cool that you guys played my level. I didn't think it'd get much exposure since I only published it a day before the beta ended, and it only had 13 plays the last time I checked.

In what way? Loving atmospherics, or being incompetent at guiding the player?

Just not having the player go/do what I've set up in a level.

The choir brought me to tears with it's beauty.

Oh.
That's still cool, and I'll probably make a level that uses the same kind of thing.

I've not seen one single person, on here or in the beta forum, complaining about the terribly glitched green sponge in the PS4 version. I really hope some of you voice your annoyance if it's in the final build. I for one find it unacceptable; although I have a feeling it will be fixed.2014-11-03 20:55:00
