I kinda left this game because of a problem (in my eyes) about distribution of publicity (rich get richer) and when I left there was a player who I think was called xxxxxxxxx? Or something like that, who would remove and republish the same levels over and over to get tonnes of plays (and consequently down-votes etc) just because his levels instantly get to the top of the user created levels section. Was that just a phase and did it die out or is it still happening to this day? ;_; I would love to get back into LBP if no. 3 lives up to its predecessor

Welcome! Glad ya made it! Though part of the rules... we can't name names here in that way, but the good news is we really don't care about those that cheat the system to get some sort of ill fame. We mostly care about quality creations here and helping creators achieve their full potential. Have fun!

Well that should be irrelevant; unless we can buy stuff with likes, plays, and hearts. Dear gawd it would be hell in LBP if that ever became a thing. Anyways. That would be a strategy to stay relevant; a strategy that is somewhat underhanded. I could see someone, who's not well known, doing that to get their levels attention, which is fine due to the masses of levels out there. But someone who does it and already has amassed a large quantity of plays, hearts, and likes probably just wants more attention. But that's a probably. So regardless if someone's doing that, play the game to have fun. Also, this is one of the bonuses of a forum. You don't have to rely on the game's system (Despite that an in-game system should be more relied on) and you can showcase your stuff here.

yep, like judbs says, we mostly care about levels posted here and helping each other be the best creators we can be. You're always gonna have those pesky ones who "cheat" the system for plays. I'd rather have my friends that I've made here and on the game play my levels and offer VALUABLE feedback than just a bunch of crap plays. Anyway, glad to have you back into the fold.

Heya! (noone should think that I'm not teachable! ) welcome, hubbas, fine to have you with us! Plays are a fine thing and more plays are even better, if you can say, that you have honestly earned them. Every system can be cheated, thats similar to real life. All the better that there are LBP forums, which are dedicated to supporting quality more than quantity! And this is not only valid for LBPCentral, but also for LittleBigNetwork, LittleBigPlanetarium, LittleBigForum, LBPRussia, LBPFrance, LBPDreamCreators... I've never heard of a LBP forum, that supports cheating the system. Honestly earned plays are fine, but the reviews and the feedback of friends and other players are much more better! And every forum has a kind of pick-system, here its the spotlight! And its such a cool feeling to get picked, and the picks are not dependent on the numbers of plays. I'm sure that you will feel comfortable here, cause you will find friends, that are proud of their honestly earned plays and which are glad to play your happily created levels, if you share them with our friendly community! I use to feel that way too, but since my return I haven't seen it as badly as it once were, however, if what you want is that people play your levels, I'd strongly advise you to stick around here at lbpc, I used to get like.. 20 plays or so at most, and of course, at the very heart of the game it is about having fun, and I did have alot of fun making my levels... But still, it's a whole different feeling to be creating and know that there's people out there wanting (and waiting) to play your levels and having fun, which also helps building a network if you end up playing their levels, which should also prevent people to do like what you described. Anyway, my point is, that since I joined lbpc in the first place, and started posting my levels here, not only have they gone way up on plays and popularity thanks to people from the forum sharing and playing my levels, but, the networking thing I was talking about is also very much apparent here on the forum, like the others have said, we mostly care about levels posted here, and helping eachother, whether the levels is top quality like Lockstitch or Compher, or if they could be improved

Heya! Like my dear fellow LBPC friends said above, it matters only if the plays / hearts / yays are earned! I only have few levels and I've created them with pure joy and dedication, not caring of the plays. I've also helped many of my friends levels and we have great time creating those funny levels! We don't care if they get popular or not, by creating them with pure joy is a majestic moment of LBP. I'm into Music in LBP and I don't care if people doesn't find it worthy to be popular, I'm extremely happy when those people who are finding that kind of music actually FINDS it from LBP 2 from my Music Gallery! Anyways that's my point of view of it. You'll enjoy this community because here are so many good people and creators who helps each other so many times that I almost make a tear. See ya!
