BETA to LBP3 question

Archive: 9 posts

Hi all,

Very quickly, if this thread already exists, or is in wrong location, please move, I couldn't find an answer for my query.

My question is are levels from the BETA imported to the full game? And if so, do they have to be published? Or can they just be on your moon?

Thanks

Hi Dyna,
Cant confirm this or be sure mate, but, As it stands with the beta, uploading your lbp2 profile uploads your moon with your levels into lbp3.

I'm guessing that when you install LBP3 afresh from the retail disc version, It will just have a blank new install profile with only new, installed data. Then uploading your profile will install your lbp2 profile and moon into lbp3.
So, if you have updated your profile in the lbp3 beta with newly created lbp3 levels and saved the profile, uploading this into the retail lbp3 will update it with that profiles updated moon and your levels.
This is my guess anyway

Nope!

Not exactly a no to all beta levels but the most favorite levels of the Development Team and StevenI (Most likely Team Picks) will be transfered to the full games servers for everyone to enjoy.

Backing up a beta level and importing it to the full game doesn't seem to work, as StevenI stated trying it himself.

Anyone try backing up a beta level in LBP3 and importing it into LBP2?

It's too bad that a lot of creators will lose a lot of good work in the beta. It think it would be great for the community if they could keep their Beta work and get a head start on producing some nice content for the community right at the launch.

LBP3 to LBP2 data transfer is impossible

Exactly what I was thinking when making this thread. I was gonna start work on some projects, but since the game is out soon, the BETA will be closed, and also, there's no point rushing to get a level out.

I thought that this was assumed going into beta though? If no one rushed to make a level, we wouldn't really have much to play would we?2014-10-30 02:52:00

The point of the Beta was to squash bugs. Not saying creating a level is not a bad way of going about finding bugs, but it really isn't the total goal.

...and to confirm, nothing will transfer over except those few chosen levels onto Craft Earth for LBP3 folks to enjoy once the game comes out.

Sorry, I meant starting now, not since it first opened.
