Local playing?

Archive: 5 posts

In LBP1 & 2, you could just press the PS button and a local player will join. You could play levels with them, create with them, and do all sorts of stuff. Can you do that in LBPK where you can race with local controllers, create with them, and so all sorts?

Also, there is a spawn point that looks purple. How is that used? Whenever I place that down, people will not spawn there.

One more thing, can you make it so that you can manage sackbots' difficulty, so I can have one sackbot with extreme difficulty and other sackbots with medium but one also with poor difficulty?

Unfortunately there is no co-create mode in LBPK. There's no immediate button to get a player involved, however you can invite players to join you in a play group via your pod.

The 'purple' spawn point is used in arena levels and sets where the player will respawn after being killed.

Lastly, each AI can be adjusted in loads of ways including their difficulty setting. Place a 'race brain' gadget on the spawn point, found in the Kart Tweakers section of the popit if you're creating a race level. Or a 'battle brain' gadget for arena levels. Then adjust as required in the tweak menu of the gadget.

Hope that helps

You can invite some friends in your pod or join a friends session. You can only play multiplayer level with them.
In your pod, press X then on the left you can see which friends is online, join them or invite them. Another possibility which works better, select a level, play it online, then during the 30 secondes before the race starts, press start ( or select can't remember), then invite some friends from your friend's list.
Have fun.

There is no actual co-create, but If you want to co-create there are ways around it. All you need to do is 'create something' in your level, and publish it 'copyable'. Your "friend" then comes along and copies it and creates in it, then publishes it copyable again. back and forth until your done.2014-10-27 00:23:00

Agreed V2C, BUT what generally happens, when you try to do your method above, is some thieving Spammer steals(copies) your level and hard built creations and publishes it as there own just to try and get a load of plays without putting any effort in!

Sorry to sound bitter but it's happened a couple of times to me. I wouldn't mind so much if I was given at least credit for the creations.
