Anime Suggestions!

Archive: 26 posts

I need all you hardcore anime fans to provide suggestions on what I should watch. I've already seen Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter (2011), and One Piece.

Get those suggestions in! I hope this thread can help others, too

Well I don't watch a whole bunch of anime but the ones I watch are Naruto and Sword Art Online! I really recommend Sword Art if you haven't seen it! 2014-10-21 17:04:00

All I've watched is Naruto, Code Geass, and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Oh, and DBZ, of course

Tried to watch Sword Art Online but couldn't.

Persona 4:The Animation and Legend of the Legendary Heroes.

Persona 4:The Animation is a adaption of the PS2 game Persona 4. Even if you've played the game it's worth checking out the anime and it's other anime Persona 4 The Golden: The Animation to tie more loose ends.

Legend of the Legendary Heroes sounds as generic as can be, but it's anything but generic. It's a very dark and intriguing anime worth you time.

There's about 30 new anime every season which you can watch online if you don't mind subtitles. So that's about 80+ new anime every year. I personally watch between 7 to 15 different anime every season.

Here's a few good ones i enjoyed.

Arakawa Under the Bridge.
Kill Me Baby.
Beelzebub.
Durarara!!.
Gintama.

And here are couple new on going titles that seem good.
Nanatsu no Taizai.
Gugure! Kokkuri-san.

Oh God, you need some more epic anime in your life.

Heres a quick list of my must watch animes

Attack on Titan--ONE OF THE BEST ANIME EVERY MADE PERIOD. The Animation and pacing is unrivaled. Its also loaded with plot twist.
Death Note--Ep 1-25 arguably one of the best anime ever made
Code Geass-my personal favorite anime. I like the ending better than Death Note, so it gets a slight nod for me.
Black Lagoon--Revy alone makes this anime worth watching. Be warned, this one is a bit mature though.
Sword Art Online--Its OK, not as good as the animes above but its really popular and has decent animation.
Full Metal Panic- This does have mechs in it, but its the characters that make it blossum. It has a lot of comedy, but it really has a serious story beneath it all. Especially in Season 2.
Afro Samurai- Avoid the sequel, but the original is pretty good. Only five episodes though and a very mature anime.
BToom!-Just finished this one and enjoyed it. Be warned, this one still needs a season 2.
School Rumble--This anime is the god of comedy. It went three seasons, so that should tell you the humor is spot on.
R.O.D-The TV--THis was one of my first anime. Its about three paper masters that try to body guard this famous writer. All the main characters are chicks, but its refreshing to see fleshed out characters that dont succumb to fanservice literally drenched in animes these days. Its a little older but the animation is still good.

I'm not a hardcore fan myself, but I have been watching one lately: wolf's rain.
Now I've got no idea wether you've already seen it, but I thought I'd just throw it in. Especially recommended for wolf fans .

I know it's an old anime, but I recently watched Death Note and it was AWESOME (At least until episode 25). I highly recommend it for anyone interested in drama/mystery types of things

P.S. Rocky your grammar and spelling are impeccable

Aw man, I had it in my head that the last post in this thread wasn't that long ago.

I just finished watching Gurren Lagann and thought I'd recommend it.

Haha! That's actually where my username comes from! My brother originally set our old, 2008/2009 PS3 username as "gurren009" from the anime "Gurren Lagann, and another old anime called "Cyborg009"(It's very old, and unpopular franchise, but it was still a good anime)

Never heard of it, those uniforms look really dorky.

My favourite is Hunter X Hunter... just realised it hasn't been mentioned on this thread.

I don't know many anime, but some years ago I liked InuYasha. ...or isn't it an anime at all? Is it a Manga, which has been made into a film?2017-07-25 07:29:00

I just researched that and yeah, that's an anime Apparently a lot of people like it. Haha, CuriousSack, I can recommend a lot of new animes for you to watch. Though be warned, the anime community can be a little... weird Do you have Crunchyroll?

Haha, Crunchyroll is kind of like like Netflix(btw, Netflix has some anime for you to watch if you want). You can stream tons of anime to watch, though there is a monthly pay of about 7 dollars for premium membership, and 12 dollars for a premium+ membership. You can also try the free, limited membership, but it puts a lot of limits on what you can watch.

Here’s the site: http://www.crunchyroll.com/

Here’s the payment: http://www.crunchyroll.com/en/premium_comparison

I can also recommend a site called animefreak. Like most illegal sites(I hate to use the word “illegal” since tons of anime nerds like me watch anime on free sites), all the anime of animefreak is FREE. And anime episodes are constantly be uploaded everyday. You can check it out here: http://www.animefreak.tv/watchon/dragon-ball-super-episode-100-online (I left it on Dragon Ball Super for you to watch that )

Hahaha, in South Bavaria we are used to eat stale "Semmeln", especially after long and hard winters in our remote mountain valleys cut off from any civilization! Yummy! 2017-07-27 09:04:00
