"Duck Glitch" New Method
Archive: 3 posts
Do you remember the "Duck Glitch" from when LittleBigPlanet?2 first released? Yes, the one where you grabbed a grabbable material in create mode, and your friend deleted the grabbable material. After you friend deleted the grabbable material, if you were still holding R1, you would look like a duck, hence "Duck Glitch." Well, the "Duck Glitch" was patched shortly after LittleBigPlanet?2 released. Now, there is a new method of performing the "Duck Glitch." You are probably wondering "How do I do it? ![]() 1.) Go to a Blank Level on "My Moon," and, of course, make sure it is set to create mode. 2.) Place a grabbable material on the surface of your Blank Level. 3.) Make sure you are Paused, and place an Impact Explosive above the grabbable material. 4.) Grab the grabbable material, and set it to Play. 5.) Continue to hold R1, and you'll fall off of the grabbable material, once the explosive hits the grabbable material. There! You've done the "Duck Glitch!" If you don't want a duck figure, anymore, just let go of R1. I should probably inform you of the pros and cons of the "Duck Glitch," now. Pros: Sharing a laugh with your friends. Cons: This glitch can impact certain mechanisms of LittleBigPlanet?2. For example, if you are trying to complete a bomb survival, and you are holding on to a ledge, a bomb could explode, and you would fall down. In conclusion, I would like to report the "Duck Glitch" to the developers of LittleBigPlanet?2 as a faulty bug. I do not believe that the Pros of the "Duck Glitch" are elegant enough for it to remain in LittleBigPlanet?2. On that note, I'll leave you to enjoy the "Duck Glitch," before LittleBigPlanet?3 releases! Farewell! ~TheExpertz_ ![]() | 2014-10-17 16:32:00 Author: TheExpertz_ ![]() Posts: 36 |
Well, the "Duck Glitch" was patched shortly after LittleBigPlanet™2 released. I'm a bit confused. I'm pretty sure they never fixed this glitch at any point, as it still happens to me and my friends when we're messing around in create mode (selecting an object while someone's holding R1, then deleting it). Personally, I don't think the glitch is harmful enough to justify a patch, its more of just an odd and amusing quirk in the game's physics engine. Additionally, I don't really play bomb survivals, but if it's that big of a problem, why not just make the floor non-grabbable with the appropriate tweaker? Or if you want the floor to still be grabbable, just let go of R1 for a second to get out of the position when/if it happens. | 2014-10-17 18:56:00 Author: Kur0 ![]() Posts: 18 |
I tested the first method! It still does work. Sorry for the confusion! ~TheExpertz_ ![]() | 2014-10-18 03:04:00 Author: TheExpertz_ ![]() Posts: 36 |
