I've previously discussed this idea on Twitter, but what if we had an option to autosave our level in Create Mode or, if that wouldn't entirely work, an option for the game to remind us to save our level. This would be a must for those creators who normally fear of losing work on a level due to a crash or some bug in the game. Th option could work like this: "Autosave (Or Reminder): [INPUT TIME HERE]" What do you guys think?

That would be nice, but also may not be a good idea. You could forget it's on and have an accident in create mode and you can't recover anything XD

Well the easy solution to that would be for the auto-save to save in a separate slot than the manual save, like many games do, or even programs like word processors. But yeah, sometimes I get too deeply into creating and I can't be arsed to keep hitting the save button. Autosave or some kind of recovery system would be amazing.

After reading why you all thought the autosave was bad, here is my idea as a fix to how this could function well AUTOSAVE: -FUNCTION -Autosaves every [INSERT TIME INCREMENTS] and creates 3 saves so if something bad happens in one or the other then you have 3 saves of slack -Autosave can be toggled on and off, to save space on HDD -Autosave is separate from manual save in case Lol, yeah Fatty, "WHERE THE FLIP'S THAT LOGIC I PUT HERE?! XD happens -HDD -Uses 4 saves per level, 3 auto and one manual to ensure no complications ensue -Can only publish one (seems obvious, but just as clarification of the 3 saves objective) -4 saves are not expansion, but slack -SUB-OPTIONS -Timing per save (incase you are doing something very detailed, or logical, and you want a save every minute, or you are making an RPG with spread out details, and need a 10-30 minute save) -Amount of saves (in case 3 autosaves is too much for your HDD, or you need more for more slack) -More manual saves (I DON'T TRUST THE SYSTEM [rebel]) if I missed anything please tell me so I can edit

I don't see why the one second it takes to press start, left, then X is an issue. Although, I am liking the idea of a slack saving system; where there's a list of each previous save up to a certain number.

No doubt about it, we can all remember a time when we forgot to save and shut off our ps3's NEVR AGIN I actually have made it a habit of 'Going back to POD' while saving before even touching that 'System Off' button. And I have also made it a habit of saving after doing a big piece of logic. Now imagine if you had the auto save button, you did something wrong, it saved, then you crashed/system shut down/[insert horribleness here].

Also, sometimes if you return to pod and save, you have to wait a while before shutting off ur ps3...I learned that the hard way

It tells you every time you load up the game that you shouldn't turn off the system if the hard drive icon is visible.
