Powerup making possibilities
Archive: 11 posts
Ok so what we know is that we can attach any object to our hands and make it a powerup? But what about our sack feet? Sack torso? Sack back? Basically, I'm saying that we should be able to attach objects to other body parts on sackboy. Just the hands isn't really enough...take the jetpack for example, an old classic. Now imagine it in one of the hands of sackboy...? We need to be able to make powerups for other body parts | 2014-10-16 10:21:00 Author: ZNBJ Posts: 181 |
That could be pretty cool! I think I would definitely make a hover-board type machine | 2014-10-16 19:21:00 Author: LJRobey Posts: 122 |
That would be awesome. Imagine the epicness of a armour power up | 2014-10-17 12:19:00 Author: Mark3y_man Posts: 94 |
l mention something like this before https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=91795-Power-Up-Custom-Curiosity! however it was just a curiosity not a suggestion, but l'm glad someone put it as a suggestion | 2014-10-19 12:48:00 Author: TheFourKings Posts: 45 |
Wait you mean this isn't possible?! *several ideas for power-ups shatter* NUUUUUUUUUUUU! *several ideas for levels including aforementioned power-ups also shatter* Oh man, a lot of my ideas for power-ups and levels just went STRAIGHT down the drain. | 2014-10-19 18:59:00 Author: Cheatster9000x Posts: 36 |
You can have power-ups for different parts of your body, just only a custom power-up in your hand (well at the moment, for the beta, nothing confirmed for the full release game yet) | 2014-10-19 21:18:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
You can have power-ups for different parts of your body, just only a custom power-up in your hand (well at the moment, for the beta, nothing confirmed for the full release game yet) I'd imagine it to be pretty difficult to customize power-ups for the feet. Unless you make one shoe, and that goes on both feet.... When you make a power-up, does the thing you make automatically become non-physical while sackboy is holding it? Like, if you gave him a block of wood via the blaster handle, can that 'gun' go through a wall if you move it around with the stick? | 2014-10-20 07:46:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal Posts: 1799 |
Yes, it just moves through everything around you as if you were holding a paintgun for example. | 2014-10-20 13:11:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
Yes, it just moves through everything around you as if you were holding a paintgun for example. Can you attach a blaster handle to a bendy rail, and then have someone ride it while it's a gun? Can you make something like these (https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=HN.608055704586814243&pid=15.1) with the blaster handle? Do gravity tweakers work with held blasters? For example, if I had a gravity tweaker on some holo that was a part of the blaster, then had a button activate the gravity tweaker to make the gun 'static'; does the gun stop the player and movement of the gun, stop just the gun/player, or nothing happens? Can you put a power-up (Any power-up really) pedestal on a blaster? Can you attach a Rail Hook to the end of some holo with the blaster handle, and use that rail hook to move on a bendy rail? Do any of the teleporters cause you to lose your power-up? (Or only some of the power-ups) | 2014-10-21 07:59:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal Posts: 1799 |
Err... I experimented a bit with a blaster handle rail rider, but I don't think that worked. It's one hand only, and the powerup will be flattened to a thin layer that fits inside your hand. But I haven't tried decorations, they might be able to cover the hand. I didn't find any way to control the position of the powerup in my hand except for the regular right stick pointing, so the gravity tweaker will probably do nothing, but it is possible to use a broadcast chip to send a gravity tweaker to the player. I haven't tried that, but I have made a throwing knife that emits a pedestal when it falls on the ground so you can pick it up again (the original pedestal disappears, it's 1 dispense only). See first question. Didn't try that one. | 2014-10-22 11:36:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
