Bring back the ice hazard?

Perhaps not the whole 'stick sackboy in a block of ice' but an animation where he or anything that can be harmed by hazards, freezes in their current animation and gets a hue of blue with some icicles on them. Or a thin skin of ice along their body.2014-10-15 05:59:00

The ice hazard could actually have some interesting mechanics, not just... touch it and died...

If you get frozen in a block of ice, you could have to shake the controller to break out and whilst you are in the ice, you are extra slippy, ect...

Could lead to some interesting gameplay.

I believe, originally, you were supposed to shake the stick to get out.

Man I loved the ice hazard the moment I saw it (so many years ago now!) Considering all the new animation tools, I don't see why it could not be recreated. Make sackboy pop into a block of "ice" (could be a dephysicalized material so it can occupy the same space as him) and tweak the animations and have some logic so that shaking the controller breaks you out. You can even use that new shardinator tool to have the ice "break up". Hmm.. Now I'm tempted to try this in the beta, would be a good way to test out a few of the new tools 2014-10-15 12:47:00

With the new create tools and animation tweaker, you can pretty much make your own hazards. You just gotta monkey around until you figure out how. That's what I've learned from lbp2 2014-10-16 12:02:00

A hazard shown in earlier versions of LBP1 that never made it into the final game. Upon touching the hazard, sackboy would be frozen in a block of ice and would have to shake the controller to break free. It was taken out of the game Becasue it lagged it too much.
