Hugh Laurie and Nolan North join LittleBigPlanet 3′s all-star voice cast!

The incomparable actor/comedian reunites with old pal Stephen Fry in forthcoming sequel

LittleBigPlanet 3 is going to be the biggest, most awesomest, most amazingest adventure yet! So we?re proud to announce today that as a LittleBigPlanet first, our entire adventure will be fully voice acted!

Long-time fans will already be well-accustomed to Stephen Fry?s dulcet tones as LittleBigPlanet?s ever-warm and loving Narrator, but evil is afoot for our otherwise pleasant world and the nefarious Newton is here to cause all kinds of trouble and mischief in this brand new adventure!

But just who would be the dream voice to contest against Mr. Fry?
Introducing Hugh Laurie as the voice of Newton!

That?s right! The mischievous Newton is being voiced by none other than Stephen Fry?s long-time comedic partner? Hugh Laurie!

We have naturally always been big fans of Stephen Fry, so when it came to deciding upon a voice to act as his dastardly counterpart, we couldn?t help but think that bringing Hugh Laurie on as the voice of Newton would be just the perfect double act for LittleBigPlanet 3. We couldn?t be happier to have him on-board!

More stars abound in LittleBigPlanet 3!

That?s not all though! Our brand new adventure is filled with all kinds of wonderful characters, new Creator Curators and more NPCs than ever before in a LittleBigPlanet title! So we needed a wonderful array of voices to help bring all these characters to life!

We don't want to get all spoiler-y before you even have a chance to discover Sackboy?s newest story for yourself but we wanted to let you know that you will have the opportunity to listen out for the likes of top names Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead), and Simon Greenall (Alan Partridge, Wimbledon), along with video game stalwarts such as Nolan North (UNCHARTED series, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor) and Tara Strong (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, The Fairly OddParents)!
Returning voices!

Last but by no means least; we have one final tease for you?

We have some additional voices returning from a previous LittleBigPlanet adventure that will be making a very welcome return when they reunite with Sackboy in his latest escapade!

Mum?s the word for now though! We?re already saying too much! Maybe, just maybe, one of your favourite characters will be making a return though!

You can meet up with these returning voices; along with Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and the rest of our amazing cast when LittleBigPlanet 3 releases in November!

I'm actually more excited seeing those new animations. I love the way Sackboys limbs flap when he's being carried, and the way he sits after dropping from that sponge. There are also some subtle hand animations too.		2014-10-07 14:50:00

Same scene....See the clouds in the sky? Those appear to be LBP1 objects. I used them in Tale of the Storm Stones.
1: 25...That patterned green glass is nice. Also, I wonder if that chain is an object or just a really large wench.
1:45...As gribble mentioned, sackboy lands on his..erm...backside after a jump. New animation?
2: 31...New design spike hazard

That may just be sticker material on the second thin layer.

oooh coolness much wonderful, but not quite complete without tim mcinnery, and miranda richardson

And SOOOOO glad that this news has been released- you wouldn't believe how hard it's been to sit on this, I didn't hear any of the other actors voices as I didn't really play all that many levels (and when I did the volume was way down so people could do their interviews without blasting ps4s all around ) but Hugh Laurie is AMAZING as Newton - I squealed so loud when his voice came through the speakers!!!		2014-10-07 16:51:00

Yes Nolan North, he can do a good range but a fair chunk of his work uses the same voice.

Only in some of his lesser roles. In Spec Ops he actually starts off very "Nolan North-y", but he gets more gravel-y as you progress through the game.		2014-10-07 18:03:00

Apparently, Nolan North only does Nolan North voice because that's what the developers want.

considering LBP's whimsicality, I can see them trying to get a more cartoonish voice to fit the game better.

I'm sure they will, but I'm more curious if we'll ACTUALLY be able to get better voice recording. The entire game's voice-acted well! It would be a huge tease if we couldn't get some pretty decent voice recording quality! Not that LBP2's voice recording was bad, but it never had a clean sound. I'm not 100% sure about that. Even most common youtubers had much clearer voice acting then what you could do on LBP... Even on some of the best voiced user made levels they sounded like they were talking inside a metal jar. Anyways it's well known LBP voice recording is no good because the company made it low quality in order to save MBs on user levels so they wouldn't take ages to load. ETC. *mew		2014-10-08 06:40:00

Yeah, unfortunately the quality of custom voice-overs will proably still be inhibited. Recorded sound at a decent quality takes a surprising amount of space.2014-10-08 07:46:00

I'd love to see the one and only Troy Baker in LBP. That man has the vocal cord of an angel! I wonder what his next voice work will be after Call of Duty?!

That part was kind of satisfying for me. I don't mind Stephen Fry, he's a good voice narrator, but after so many LBP games I'm like 'Ok ok come on lets move this along, I'd like to play sometime soon'. Was kind of refreshing seeing him get cut off, as it was unexpected. 		2014-10-08 22:54:00

That is cool, I hadn't noticed. We have seen that often enough in trailers that I didn't register that this was still in-game! It looks like clever use of the 16 layers, and good camera work. Sackboy is on the further layers, Newton and the console on the closest ones and the screen just in front of him making it look like we are looking through a screen, when in fact it's just a transparent material! In LBPV, the Narrator had his own Gibberish voice, unused in the story IIRC, but still appearing in the Mouth settings. So potentially.

"And you know, there's room for more than one U in the word 'fun.'"
