A Mexican wrestler named Senor Loco Pantalones has kidnapped all the orphans in the world and is planning on turning them into a giant bomb to destroy the earth. You must defeat him and avoid his doom traps so you can Save the Orphans!

This level is fairly hard, so I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. But it is very fun for those who like a challenge.

I always try to throw some humor into my levels, so if you like it check out my others.

Any kind of feedback is greatly appreciated! And I will of course return the favor.

Enjoy!

i'll go try it, but you should have an area up top that gives the level specifics (level name and PSN) so it's easier to find

i played it and it was pretty decent.

i liked how you used so many different obstacles, it kept me on my toes. the amount of spinning circles bugged me a little, but a few quick changes could fix that (see below). i liked the ice slides, but they too could use a slight change (see below). for the smashing platforms, i liked your use of stickers to let us know where it was safe. then the moving platform section was really cool (i like those type of obstacles).

as far as looks go, this level needs a big change. the yellow cab doesn't blend with the materials you chose (at all), so you might want to change it to something darker. another problem with the levels looks is that it has no theme, where are we? if it's meant to be a somewhat random level (no real theme), then that's fine, but if you were to give it a certain feel, it would make it better. however, i did like the mountain part, it did it's job.

Suggestions:

- in the beginning, the wrestler that talks and flies away eventually comes back. you might want to make it so he never comes back.

- at the end of the first obstacle, have some solid surface we can stand on to make the jump easier. moving ice is pretty hard to jump off

- visual suggestions up above

- for the spinning circles, make 1/4 or 1/2 of each circle deadly (adds to the danger and diversity),

- the ice/bomb section needs a change. right now it's based mostly on luck. you should have lights where the bombs drop and maybe have them turn on (maybe even flash) when the bombs are about to drop. that would make it less annoying and add a cool factor

- make the wrestler a boss. just blowing him up isn't very fun.

overall, it's ok. nothing great but nothing bad. 3 stars. if you addressed some of my complaints/suggestions, it might be a 4 star level

if you could try my level (see sig), i'd appreciate it

Thanks for the feedback! Lots of very constructive suggestions. I might have time today hopefully, but if not I'll give your level a good review asap.2009-02-26 14:15:00

Hey Apelles, just finished a playthrough of your updated version. For the most part, I thought all the improvements were definitely for the better. I still had a bit of trouble with the ice slide, but I did think it was easier to dodge the bombs than before which was better. I also took your advice on the rolling logs and tried standing still before the jumps. I was able to do it eventually, but still found it a tad difficult due to the size of the logs. I'm not sure all players will think to stand still before jumping either, so you might get some frustrated people, even with the infinite checkpoints (which were a good idea by the way).

Like I said, I did make it past that section and even past the next log, but then I encountered another issue with the creature you have at the top. It came forward and the nose got stuck on the tip of the ramp, blocking my path! I was unable to jump over it or proceed. I'd recommend using some creature navigator points there to prevent it from walking to far forward and getting stuck.

Also, I agree with Rick that it'd be cool if you could make the battle with the wrestler a bit more epic! I'd love an all out boss battle, but I know that might require a lot more work.

Thats really strange...You couldn't kill yourself and start at the last checkpoint and jump over him?

Yeah I really wanted to do that but believe it or not, I was about out of space with this level, and at the time I made it, I had no idea how to construct a complicated boss...Actually I still don't know how well I could cause I havent tried it yet.

(BTW) How do you upload pictures that dont show up as thumbnails like the ones I put on this thread?

First, thanks for playing and giving feedback on Little LOST.

I gave this one a run last night and left a comment on the level.

It's a bit rough here and there, but I had fun with it for the most part (which is what really matters). The only part that really aggravated me was the rolling logs at different depths. The camera angle there makes it really hard to tell which depth the logs are on, so I died quite a few times, and honestly wasn't enjoying myself.

I also had to play through twice as I backed off from the monster at the top of the second log roll section and he blocked my path off the ramp.

I did like all of the spinning shapes and some of the mechanics you put in there. You have a good eye for gameplay...just need to work out a few bugs.

Thanks for playing through it! I do need to fix a few bugs but for the most part, I'm done messing with my first two levels because they are so rough and I didn't know much while I made them. Do you think a camera angle from above would help on the rolling logs part?

My current project is much more visually pleasing and polished, so look forward to that. I actually need some testers if anyone's interested, I'll return the favor.

I just finished playing it - about 4 plays... And I died in the same place every time. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any of the good stuff as I spent all my time dying at the big glass slide with the electric blocks on it...

I really don't like levels with big sections of glass in them that you slip and slide all over, so this one really sent me over the edge. You could have flattened the electric blocks and it still would have been hard, but it would have made it easier to not trip on them.

So, I don't think there is anything probably wrong with your level, other than the fact that I am personally biased against large glass sections.

Sorry.

Really? I'm surprised you had trouble with that actually. Most of your level, (Lost Under Glass) is harder than that in my opinion.

I'd change that part right away but I haven't gotten any other complaints about it.

As I said, I am not saying it is a bad level, and I certainly didn't pan it and give you a bad grade. I just really get mad at sliding on glass... It is something I don't enjoy doing at all.

The only thing to do on glass is to jump, and with your blocks stuck in the glass, it is easy to trip on them and get electrocuted.

I guess I am not very good when it comes to finesse style platforming. I got close to your next spawn point there, but never got there - I am no Ccubbage.

The thing about creating (like you finding your level pretty easy, and me finding mine pretty easy) is that it you know what you are supposed to do in your level, and it gets easier that way.

I am trying to make my levels no so that if I have any troubles with a section, then I assume it is too hard for someone else who is getting eyes on it for the first time...

I do take a look at every section that gets a "that's too hard" or "that part sucks" comment, if I can tweek it, I always do.

With my level, I left it hard and added a lot of double spawn points so that people wouldn't have to backtrack (which is something I hate to do personally)...

So, no worries... I didn't give you a bad rating because of my failings.

Alright, yeah I definitely agree with that. I hate backtracking and sections that are just too hard. (I'd honestly consider myself a very good platformer though)

I edited that section just now so if you dont mind could you give it one more shot?

make sure you attempt it when the ice is sloping towards the direction you want to move. it gives you extra momentum.

I remember struggling a bit with that as well, for what it's worth.

But of course I made it since I'm a total platforming stud.

To earlier question, "yes please" to the higher camera angle.

All of your suggestions have been corrected in the most recent update. Give it a shot if you'd like. Thanks guys for your feedback! My new level is almost done...If you have some free time in the next couple days I'd love to have some people run through it with me.2009-03-13 05:02:00
