LBP2 Data Corrupted. HELP.
Archive: 9 posts
Anyone know what to do with this, This is the message I get when putting my LBP2 Disc in my PS3. The game data is corrupted. The game will close. You must delete the game data to play this game. The data I have saved is from 2011 and back. I recently went and bought PS+ but it does not look like it has backed up my files, at least from what I can tell. Any help here is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Knuckles | 2014-10-04 19:11:00 Author: Knucklerider Posts: 72 |

Thanks, Knuckles Corrupt data isn't something you can fix. If your PS+ hasn't back-ed it up thats unfortunate but you may have done so yourself, the save would be in saved data utility under LittleBigPlanet 2. If you start the game and going into your pod you can pause, go to settings and under profile, import profile. This will use your back-ed up profile for your user account. Besides this there isn't much you can do that I know of. Sorry. | 2014-10-04 19:31:00 Author: SEWO97 Posts: 637 |
Well, if you don't have a save file, tough luck I guess too bad there is no better way to fix this | 2014-10-04 22:15:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
This is why you must make backups of digital files and your profile! | 2014-10-09 01:16:00 Author: EleoMod Posts: 122 |
Update: I did not panic and delete all my information as requested by PSN. I waited it out and tried to upload every couple of days. I eventually started getting this instead. "An error occurred. You have been signed out of PSN. (80028ED6). This was after I was able to open LBP2 but when I would try to sign in I would get that. I found that my info is all backed up but Im not sure how to save it. I have PS+ but have no clue where to go to get my supposed saved information if I were to loose all my data or my PS3 would crash. Anyway, just thought I would share the results of this issue. | 2014-10-16 22:11:00 Author: Knucklerider Posts: 72 |
press start >> settings >> profile >> backup profile. To save this to your PS+ storage go to the XMB menu, then Saved Data Utility. Find your backup, select 'Copy', then select 'Online Storage'. As for PSN, try signing in at distant intervals. That is, sign in, if it doesn't work, sign in at another time. The 'game data' is located in the 'Game Data Utility' folder. One has your current profile, while the other has the install data and updates. I would delete that install data next time LBP2 refuses to start up. Hope I helped! | 2014-10-17 08:34:00 Author: madmarsrocks Posts: 83 |
It could be possible that it's the update data. I doubt it though. You could try it, unless it wouldn't even let you start the disc up. Sorry about that. My profiles been corrupted tons of times for no reasons | 2014-10-17 08:35:00 Author: FattyMcintosh Posts: 59 |
