Is there any way to modify the shape of stickers you want to make... If I take a pic of something (as in screen capture), and I want to use it as a sticker, it is always the same shape.

You cannot change the shape of stickers. .

If you grab yourself an PS Eye toy, you can use the predefined sticker shapes, which still doesn't get around the problem of modifying shapes, but it's better than always being stuck with the rectangle, and there is some variety.

I hate this too. There should be a whole host of custom shapes, or an ability in front view, to click on an object and "save as sticker" giving you a perfect version of it without any background clipped behind.
