Cross-Controller Questions

Archive: 10 posts

Hello everyone, I want to buy the LBP2 Cross-Controller Pack (and DC Comics PS3) to finish up LBP2 before 3 comes out and I have some questions about it.

First, do you have to be online to play the pack? I have both a Vita and LBP2 but don't have Internet.
Second, how much different is it to control then LBP Vita?
Third, I heard about animated decorations in this pack, how many are there?
Finally, how are the new tools?

Thanks for all your help!

1. No, you can play alone. Parts will have you use the Dualshock 3, others the Vita others both but just pushing a object up with the vita.
2. Same controls I believe. Its been a while since I played it.
3. I can't say, sorry.
4. Allows you to create levels with Vita cross-play. This opens up many new possibilities,

Additionally you need two players to collect every object because areas where you control the Vita sackboy and it skips a proportion or the level.

No, but you do need a "local network", which is not the same as being connected to the Internet.2014-10-04 00:13:00

Do I need an Internet connection to play the Pack?

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my post. No you do not as EleoMod stated. The local network mentioned is a direct connection between the PS3 and PSVita using a wired or wireless connection. No internet needed. If you have played remote play before its the same as that but using the PS3 game to start remote play.

To start the DLC: Make sure DLC is installed on PS3 > Start up the game > Start Cross-Controller Pack > Connect PSVita to PS3 with PSVita charger > Click Connect > Start LBP2 C-C on PSVita (install by Remote Play > start Cross-Controller from LiveArea screen > follow instructions to download > read and press next then the software will download) > Press App on Home screen > Press Connect on PS3 and wala! I hope this helped.

I have downloaded the pack on PS3 and Vita's app, and have the Vita wired to the PS3, but the app says "There is an issue with the PSVita system's network connection. Please check your network settings within the PSVita system Home Screen"

Help?

Sorry but I wouldn't know where to go from there. Maybe there's some support online about some solutions. Again, sorry I couldn't be of more help. I only know how to connect the consoles.

This probably should have been mentioned before, sometimes we just don't think of the things we need to do prior. So, to register your Vita there is instructions below.

On your Vita tap the 'PS3 Remote Play' app. Press 'Continue', next there will be instructions on the screen for you to follow on your PlayStation 3. A code should show up with some characters. On the Vita press 'Next' and a text box will be display so you can type the code from the PlayStation 3 into the PlayStation Vita.
